Champion Window Company of Madison Reviews (2)

Review: In August, 2012, Champion installed new windows, siding, and sliding glass doors in my home. In late June, 2013, after a rain storm, water entered in the house through inferior workmanship on this installation. Shortly after this, repairs were attempted that fell well below any acceptable practice, which was acknowledged by Champion representatives. Subsequent repairs were incomplete, and promised follow through with further repairs have gone unfulfilled. I have many photos of the original installation, and the initial repairs that clearly show inferior workmanship not only of the original installation, but the initial repairs.Desired Settlement: Primary desired outcome is completion of the repair to the work as contracted. Also, interior damage resulted due to water infiltration, which will require replacement of flooring and inspection of the interior wall. This will require removal of drywall and replacement of that wall's insulation. Based on the time I have had to take off of work and hassle I have had to deal with, I am also interested in partial refund of the original contract price.

Champion would like to apologize for this customer's experience. We are working with the customer to address their concerns and to get them resolved. Champion met with the customer on Monday, August 5th at 6 pm to go over the concerns and walked around the house to address all other needs for their home. Champion had a siding crew at the customer's home on Saturday, August 10th to correct the corner posts on the chimney and will have this same siding crew back to the customer's home before the end of August to correct 2 pieces of siding on the side of the garage and 1 piece of siding on the back of the home that is underneath the light block by the dining room patio door. Champion is waiting for one square of siding to arrive so they can address these 3 pieces of siding for the customer. When we address the 3 pieces of siding before the end of August we will leave the left over siding with the customer so they have some for the future and we will also install a 1" x 4" treated piece of lumber underneath the downstairs patio door.

The siding crew that addressed the chimney corner posts on Saturday, August 10th is the same crew that addressed the chimney flashing on July 15th, 2013. In their opinion, the flashing that they corrected should have originally been installed correctly when the new shingles were installed by the roofer. The siding crew also shared with the customer that he may want to keep on eye on the chimney cap cover because it appears to be weathering and it may be a future need to have it replaced by a professional.

Champion is recommending to the customer to have a 3rd party company inspect the customer's wall inside their master bedroom to determine if any issues need to be addressed.

Champion would like to apologize for this customer's experience and would like to continue to work with the customer to address all of their concerns and to leave them with the end result that they deserve from Champion.

Thank you for your time and efforts,

Champion

Review: We had bought front picture window from champion the size we had ordered and payed for was 104x54. When Champion came out and installed the installers refused to remove rotten wood had to call management causing them to remove a finished window and wasting my time when they finished I noticed the window was only 100x54 smaller than I bought. The installers caused drywall damage and didn't care trim didn't cover where I was told it would.Desired Settlement: Get partial refund for window size and drywall repair.
