Contacted company regarding sliding glass door shattered. I was informed it will take 2 to 3 weeks; no call back explaining another 2 - 3 weeks delay Approximately 7 years ago Champion installed patio onto house and guaranteed their work with life time guarantee of glass replacements. Well, I contacted Champion on 6/30/14 for rear patio door had shattered. The company stated it will be a couple weeks before someone contact me for service since contractual agreements with contractors. After no response explaining delay, I contacted the company on 07/14 to check the status of my repairs since patio installation is under warranty and I didn't hear anything within allotted time frame. The person I spoke with stated someone would definitely contact me Friday 07/18 but no one contacted me. Since no response, I called the 800 number and explained my delay of repairs for service and I was informed again that it will be another three weeks until someone contacts me since there looking for a manager to handle service repairs.Basically, as a customer, I feel I'm getting the run around when it comes to honoring claims, plus the office personnel doesn't provide callbacks as stated, and there's a conflict in stories regarding why I cannot get my patio glass window repaired. At this point, I'm unsure when or how long the company will take to repair/replace patio door. At this point, I'm expecting another 2 to 3 week delay for actual repair work. As a customer, I'm a very dissatisfied customer.Desired SettlementBasically, I want the company to hold up to their warranty claim and repair my patio door within a timely manner since I paid-in-full for installation of patio. Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/This complaint can be closed. Someone from company contacted me yesterday and came out and repaired broken glass.

I ordered windows and gave a $1000.00 deposit back in April and still have not received my windows. On April 26, 2014 I signed a contract with [redacted] to have windows ordered and installed for my entire home. I was told that after the financials were all signed the order would start. Also that it would take 2 weeks to make the windows and 1 day to install them. On June 5th I emailed [redacted] to check the status of the windows. His reply was that the windows would be on the next week truck. Needless to say they were not. I emailed again on the 19th and didn't receive a response. I called on the 25th and was informed that [redacted] no longer worked there. But that my windows were there and being inspected and that someone would be contacting me within the next day or so for an install date. Needless to say the next day or so came and went. I called back on July 10th and spoke to the new division manager. [redacted] who I explained the whole situation to and he informed me that he would put a rush on my windows and try for this Friday. I called today and spoke with [redacted] the NEW installation manager who has now asked me to please be patient and allow them more. We are now hitting the 12 week mark.Desired SettlementI would like my windows ASAP!!Business Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX XXX XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@championwindow.comWindows have been installed and we are correcting a screen issue and should have resolved by 8-22-14

I ordered 2 replacement pieces of glass under warranty on April 17th and have yet to receive them. When I ordered my 2 replacement pieces of glass on April 17th, I was told it would be 6 weeks. 6 weeks later, on May 28th, I called inquiring when my window would be in. I was told they were in manufacturing and it would be an additional 2 weeks. On June 2nd, Champion of Morrisville called and told me they would be on the truck that delivered the week of June 16th. On June 19th, I once again called to inquire about my windows and once again I was told they were in manufacturing and it would be 2 more weeks. Sounds like a standard answer. I honestly believe they have no clue and I would be surprised if I ever receive my windows.Desired SettlementI would really like my windows. ASAP!Business Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@championwindow.comCustomer picked up sashes and installed them in early July. Have not heard back from customer. Consumer Response /[redacted]/Yes, I did pick up my windows from Champion's office on July 14th. No telling when I would have received them had I waited for the company to call me. 12 weeks to get 2 replacement pieces of glass that I had to pick up and install myself. Thankfully I am done with Champion and we pass on my experience with anyone who asks.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/

Misrepresented product contracted. Out of pocket costs never reimbursed as promised. Contract filed before we agreed to pricing. Poor quality of work10/16/2015 contracted for solid core siding and windows, and step and carport hand railings. We tried to cancel within 3 day period. We went in even through [redacted], the manager told us we did not need to. He requested time to rework the numbers to encourage our sale ("we're in the business to do business"). However, He later told us he had already submitted contract for windows to finance company even though we had been specific about siding and windows together or neither. We had written cancel on siding contract before [redacted] took the paper work out of our hands but we had not gotten to write it on the window contract. He told us it was not necessary, and that he would honor our wishes. He did not. When he finally did redo the numbers he changed the solid core siding we had ordered to plain vinyl without telling us, changing the quality of what we thought we were purchasing, adding gutters, shutters, storm door assuming that would satisfy. It did not and when we tried to cancel is when we found out the windows were already submitted. However he still promised to correct the pricing error. It was not until much later that he told us they DON'T EVEN SELL SOLID CORE SIDING and WE had misunderstood. (it is on their contract forms) This was after the plain vinyl was delivered along with incorrect windows, which had to be replaced two weeks down the road. The siding job was done three different times, first because of incorrect delivery, then because of incorrect installation, then to fix the corrected installation. Items were lost, thrown out, i.e. (door mats, house numbers, cable box, dryer vents, attic vent) damaged and never reimbursed for those even though we had been told we would be. Items needed to complete installation were never ordered, i.e. cement, post sleeves, screws, baulisters, and we were told to pick up at lowes and keep receipts, to be reimbursed. Never reimbursed. Sub contractor threatened to put a lien against our house as he had not been paid. Finally corrected. Siding is wavy in places, windows do not open smoothly or quietly, and credits we were promised for wrong windows and inconvenience to match the sale that was going on at the time that the correct windows finally showed up and were installed, which was a half price sale. Never credited, instead only $1000.00 instead of $3000.00 was credited. Incorrect siding installation, poor work, sloppy work, terrible customer service, misrepresentation, trash and nails in our yard for MONTHS despite promise to clean up daily. Job quoted as five weeks took FIVE MONTHS. Bottom line, we are having to pay for product and service promised but not delivered. Desired SettlementCredit of $2330.00 to financial agreement as verbally promised by manager [redacted] for inconvenience and discrepancies on window sale and out of pocket costs. Warranty honored. Handrails completed. Proper Attic Vent installed like the one they removed. Wavy siding on carport corrected. Non Matching dryer vent replaced with one to match the one they installed. Apology for inconvenience and manipulation of contract, as well as an apology for promising reimbursement when you did not even have the capability of issuing a check to cover those costs to us. Business Response We will look into this issue. Based on the current information we have at hand we see no record of this compensation but we do have a signed completion certificate stating the job was completed to the customers satisfaction.

SUNROOM WAS ATTACHED TO EXISTING ROOF. JOB COMPLETED 9/2015, LEAKING EVERY SINCE INTO SUNROOM. 6 MONTHS LATER, LEAKING CONTINUES ALONG WITH ICINGTHEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CORRECT THE ISSUE AND ITS NOW 6 MONTHS LATER, UNKNOWN DAMAGE WATER AND ICE DAMAGE UNDER SHINGLES, ROOFING PAPER, PLYWOOD AND RAFTERS?Desired SettlementCHIMNEY COMPANY SUGGESTED THEY NEED TO REMOVE EVERYTHING UP AND AROUND CHEMNEY AND ATTACHED SUNROOM ROOF TO FIND PROBLEM. I JUST WANT ALL DAMAGE CORRECTED.Business Response At Champion we strive to always do the right thing. We admit that we had a small leak around the chimney where we tied into a roof that is at least 25 years old. We had some difficulty locating the leak and the customer would not allow us to test using a water hose. When we attempted to make a fix we would have to wait for rain to see if our solution worked. This caused numerous delays. This customer has also had issues with her chimney. We feel that was and still most likely is a part of the problem. The chimney itself needed to be sealed and there were holes in the mortar that needed to be filled. The customer was also getting water in the firebox of the chimney and felt that was due to us as well. A chimney company fixed the crown and the water stopped coming into the firebox. With that said there has been moisture penetrating the masonry of this fireplace for some time.To make sure that we addressed the leak we re-flashed her entire chimney and replaced all the old shingles around the chimney. As of 2/25/2016 the customer says there are no leaks but still refuses to pay us.We are in the process of filing an insurance claim due to the fact that she thinks she might have incurred some damage to her sheathing, tar paper and rafters when there was a leak. We observed no damage when we re-flashed and shingled.Champion is committed to building quality products and we strive to correct any issues that occur during the construction process that may be a result of a mistake. We will continue to address this customer's concerns now and in the future. At this time we are in contact with our Insurance Company and will be meeting a Claims Adjuster on site with the customer to determine a path for moving forward.Consumer Response With regards to testing with garden hose. 1) they took it upon them selves when I was NOT home to do so. What disturbed me was they used my house water which is town water which costs. I have a well. But again they came to my house without asking and did so.I have had a A-1 Carolina Chimney Masters come out and check all Champion stated was the issue. All the items Champion listed above have been fixed even it the A-1 Carolina Chimney Masters didn't think necessary. As of today the issue is still there (leaking inside the sunroom at the chimney. Mr. [redacted] made an appointment to come to my house along with their insurance representative for 02/25/2016. They never showed, however their (carpenter) who again went up on the roof, took pictures, and added MORE silicon around the re-flashing. I never told his carpenter the leak stopped. I have not talked to anyone via email or phone since my last email 02/25/2016 except for today I again forwarded photos from last evening rain which again there was leaking.Since this leaking has been ongoing since August of last I did question of possible having incurred some damage to her sheathing, tar paper and rafters when there was a leak. I would like to know who they can observed no damage when we re-flashed and shingled which 1) the leak has not stopped since 8/2015 and what possible damage could have occurred underneath all the singles etc. when the leaking continues to occurred even after the re-flashed.I do not feel very confident with "Champion is committed to building quality products and we strive to correct any issues that occur during the construction process that may be a result of a mistake. We will continue to address this customer's concerns now and in the future." when they have not been able to fix the original issue. There has been many issues from the very start, however most have been corrected. I have photos of all issue including the leak which has NOT stopped. At this time we are in contact with our Insurance Company and will be meeting a Claims Adjuster on site with the customer to determine a path for moving forward. The appointment was 02/25/2016 which they DID NOT SHOW.Final Business Response We have responded to this complaint, but have been instructed to give a status resolution. There has been an ongoing leak that appears to be coming from the fireplace and/or the existing roof which is in need of total replacement. The leak from the fireplace has apparently been an ongoing issue long before our work was performed. We have continued to address the issue from our work perspective on many occasions and at this point there is no leak directly from our work. moisture is coming through the mortar into the room. there is also evidence of the fireplace leaking on the inside that has been occurring for many years prior to our work. With this said we have still continued to make adjustments to our work to make sure. At this time the customer is saying that she has other damage. We have contacted our insurance company to go and do a full inspection of the room as well as inspecting the roof where our room is connected. The appointment time for the inspection is scheduled for Thursday March 10th at 4pm. We are going to accept the findings of the inspection and will make any repairs if any are found from the Insurance company. In addition we hope that if the adjuster finds that the issues are not ours that the customer will pay our balance as well. Once the inspection is done on 3-10-16 we will have a time period before we have a finding by them. we hope to have the answers within 2-3 weeks at most.
