Champion Window & Enclosure Company Reviews (19)

Met with [redacted] and inspected her home The siding was installed properly and per spec The concern is the top 12"-15" of siding appears to follow the building framing and has some waves in it I let [redacted] know that we would have the contractor back out to her home to remove that top row of siding to see if there is something that can be done The original contractor is working out of town and should be back the second week of October When he returns, we will have the contractor out to see what options we have

We have made several calls to our customer with regards to the siding issue We have the siding in stock but the siding subcontractor fell through that we scheduled for the week of 8/8/We are currently working on finding another crew to install the productThis is an extremely busy time for siding crews and have found they are booked out to weeks

I spoke to [redacted] earlier today I listened to her concerns about the lack of communication, the miscommunication, and the manufacturing delays We didn't realize until today that there was a reframed window that had plastic covering it We agreed to install a window in that opening until the permanent windows arrive As far as the door, we have had the door in stock for months awaiting the arrival of the windows It can be installed at any time I also explained to Mrs [redacted] that we are still awaiting an accurate ship date on the Colorbond windows The factory is behind on the Colorbond Bronze products I hope to have a definitive ship date in the next hours and will let the [redacted] 's know when that will be As far as a discount, we will have to address that once we have reached the completion of the installation We want to be fair

Everything has been completed now.We are truly sorry for the amount of time it took to diagnose this issue and get it resolvedWe will gladly waive any service charges for years and continue to take care of any issues should there be any.The full Warranty is still in force and in effect

The siding contractor went out to the [redacted] home two weeks ago and determined that it was not a product issue or an install issue. Ms. [redacted] has a manufactured home. Part of the structural integrity of the home is the metal siding that the home was built with. We insulated the home and installed vinyl siding over the original metal siding. Being a manufactured/mobile home, the walls aren’t necessarily flat, plumb, or square. We installed the siding per manufacturers spec and did the best we could to make the house look good. The customer is now saying that she wants the siding removed, the house sheeted with plywood, and then resided with new siding. The customer had an original budget that we met. It did not include resheeting the entire house with plywood prior to installing vinyl siding. Ms. [redacted] wants to refer to a line in the contract that states “inspect wall sheathing and replace wood as needed”. We had no exposed wood to replace. We certainly could have resheeted the entire house with new plywood for an additional $3,088, but it did not fit into her budget. At Champion we strive for happy customers. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what we can do at this point to make Ms. [redacted] happy. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you, Chad B [redacted] Division ManagerSalt Lake City, UT

I am rejecting this response because: my home looks horrible, also installers should be responsible for the mangled rain gutterI will be contacting Gephardt, and if not satisfied, a lawyerI now will only be satisfied with a full refund so I can get a professional job doneThank you!Sincerely,

All my issues have been resolved or will be resolved in near future. I am confident that Champion is the best enclosure product on the market and I will refer all friends and family. I feel these issues are not caused by routine business practices but were simply unique to my particular home. I will also only use Champion in the future. Just an extra note, my windows and doors look beautiful!
Sincerely,

We will be going out to the house to repair the screen and look at the patio door on Friday, June 24, 2016.  We have apologized for the delay in getting this issue resolved and have explained we are short handed.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:While the faulty window has been replaced we have historically seen problems after a rain, which are somewhat scarce this summer. Champion used a test spraying water on the windows from a hose that did surface the problem when they finally conducted the test. After replacing the window we had to wait at least 48 hours for the sealant to dry. On the evening of 7/2/15 I sprayed the window and, so far, water has not appeared inside the sun room. I am going to spray it again tomorrow to ensure it is not leaking internally and filling the U channel in the bottom of the wall. The other area we were experiencing leaks was the South wall and I pointed it out to Tony and Bobby when they did the water test. When I sprayed the South wall it leaked into sun room at both ends of the wall. The offer to resolve the complaint will probably be acceptable once the issues are resolved but, once again, Champion has failed to ensure the entire installation is complete. It is a holiday weekend but I will try to contact Champion and report my findings during the next couple of days and see how they respond. On a side note, I also called their Corporate Office on 6/26/15 and have not had a returned call. It would seem that, even at the Corporate level, they are not as concerned with customer service as their ads would imply. As of 7/2/15 I am not considering this issue resolved.
Sincerely,
Randy W[redacted]
