Champion Windows of Fort Collins Reviews (23)

We just received the notice my mail today Everything on the desired resolution has already been completed except the roof We have ordered a new piece of interior trim for the shaped window and as soon as we get it in we will get it installed ASAP In order not to void the [redacted] roofs warranty the original roofing company needs to fix the damaged shingles we have been in contact with the roofing company and we will be paying for any cost associated with the roofing damage

I met with [redacted] on Wednesday September 21, and we took care of the issues we could at the time We replaced the patio door screen and took care of the scuffs on the patio door We had the replacement screen in and our installer stopped by on the evening of Monday September 19th as well as the morning of Tuesday September 20th to get the issue resolved While the screen was in the installer’s trailer the screen had gotten scratched so we have already reordered a new screenWhen I met with Mr [redacted] we showed me the scratches on the door They weren’t scratches they ended up being scuffs that we cleaned off on Wednesday Also the center panel of the front windows night latch was cut a little low at the point of manufacturing so we reordered a center panel to resolve the issue

I am sorry for the late response I have been in contact with the Mr&Mrs [redacted] and they are going to be in Fort Collins on Friday December 19, I will be meeting with them andwill work out a resolution However Iwill address a couple of the issues now“They finally started it and agreed to call us every daywith updates”.- I was unaware that the lead installer had madethat commitment until I spoke with Mrs [redacted] on the 15th I have no excuse and I apologized to the [redacted] sand made sure the he is calling and giving daily updates“We heard that the initial inspection did not pass sinceChampion incorrectly laid the base on top of a concrete patio”.- We have not failed any inspections at the [redacted] ’s project.- “Championincorrectly laid the base on top of a concrete patio” This would be referring tothe rough track inspection Thisinspection was not even scheduled until Tuesday Dec16th and wepassed the inspection.- I spoke to [redacted] and it sounded like there wassome miscommunication between the City of Fort Collins and the [redacted] s When Mr [redacted] inquired about theinspections it showed we had a “partial” passPartial doesn’t mean you have passed some and failed others It is referring to the fact that you haveonly passed the portion of the project that you have completed - When you build a Sunroom you have five separate inspections Caisson/Footers, rough deck, rough track, roughhanger (where the room’s roof attaches to the home), and the final inspection- As of Dec18, we have passed allinspection outside of the final inspection.“They had told us they didn’t need to cut into the concreteto lay the post, but then they had to do that”- This is referring to the Caisson/Footers We have to put caissons per the engineeringand local building code A standardconcrete slab is not designed to carry the load of the sunroom On some jobs you can dig out the caisson fromthe side of the slab and not have to cut the concrete and others you have tocut the concrete and go straight down Ido not know if this was relayed to the [redacted] s or not at the point of sale Either way I have addressed it with the salesperson and the Sunroom Install MgrScreens - I have talked to [redacted] about the screens Two of the four screen frames were damaged We were only going to just rescreenthem Now I am having the two damagedscreen frames replacedAt this point I am not willing to cover the cost of a thirdparty engineer to review the sunroomThe city building inspectors inspect the sunroom four times during thebuilding process and once at the final completion The job is inspected per the site specific engineeringprints and local building code

[redacted] is referring to the fascia board not the soffits and I have enclosed a copy of the [redacted] work order As you can see there is nothing noted that we were going to replace the fascia boards The work order only calls for custom wrapping the existing fascia board with [redacted] *** *** The reason we would only replace portions of the fascia boards is due to the fact that only portions were rotted, you cannot see the cut lines when it is wrapped, and it’s not a common work practice to replace wood that doesn’t need replaced unless otherwise noted in the work order We started the project on September 19, Mrs [redacted] got so upset that the fascia boards were not being replaced with new board we shut down the job until my installation manager could get to the job She then proceed to come uncorked on my manager She was yelling at him so loudly that the neighbor started to come out of their homes to see what was going on At that time the crew packed up and told us they would not return to work at her home The crew was a subcontractor and due to labor laws I cannot force them to work on her project As subcontractors they have the right to turn down or take any job they choose I then contact Mrs [redacted] and told her the crew would not be returning and we would be back as soon as I have a crew ready and even though they didn’t pay for the fascia board to be replaced I would replace them (I did not tell her the crew was refusing to work on her home due to the way she was acting.) Roughly ten days ago I contacted Mrs [redacted] (prior to receiving notice of this complaint) to walk the job with her and Mr [redacted] to make sure we were on the same page and get a new crew back out on the job Mrs [redacted] told me they had family in town and we agreed we would reconnect on Oct27th we would have to schedule the project the first of November As far as the repairs for the job from last year, we have no records of any outstanding services on the job If there are any services to the prior install we they would be covered under the warranty However, we have not records indication any open services

Tell us why here...I spoke to Mr***. There was some confusion over the financing program he chose. The program he chose was not part of the buy get free plus month low interest. He went with a month, low payment plan. Also, He did receive a 25% discount on
his project. Somewhere there was some miscommunication and he only thought he received a 5% discount. Due to the fees attached to the dealer for the month, low payment plan, we are not offering this plan with the current offer. However, if a customer wanted or needed a low payment our factory representative are able to offer the low payment plan at a reduce percent off

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Champion Windows did send $200 for me to exercise patience for the receipt of the screens.  I agreed to wait until May, 2018, in the hope that the screens will arrive.  May 7th will be a full 6 months after the windows were installed. I asked Mr. Sweeney why Champion did not use a local screen manufacturer, in light of their supply problems from Cincinnati.  He indicated the screen type and quality is not as good locally as the Champion screens.  I will not be completely satisfied until the screens are installed.

[redacted]Dear Sir or Madam,I have just returned from two weeks away moving my family and taking some vacation so I apologize for the delay. This case...

should be closed as the customer was serviced completely on 12.19.17 and it did NOT take as long as we feared it might.Thank you,Bob Robert (Bob) S[redacted] Division Manager, Fort Collins, CO. 5850 Byrd DriveLoveland, CO. 80538[redacted]

I met with [redacted] on Wednesday September 21, 2016 and we took care of the issues we could at the time.  We replaced the patio door screen and took care of the scuffs on the patio door.  We had the replacement screen in and our installer stopped by on the evening of Monday September...

19th as well as the morning of Tuesday September 20th to get the issue resolved.  While the screen was in the installer’s trailer the screen had gotten scratched so we have already reordered a new screen. When I met with Mr. [redacted] we showed me the scratches on the door.  They weren’t scratches they ended up being scuffs that we cleaned off on Wednesday.  Also the center panel of the front windows night latch was cut a little low at the point of manufacturing so we reordered a center panel to resolve the issue.
