Champions Fitness Super Center Reviews (2)

This response is in reference to a submitted complaint on 12/19/2017 regarding Champions Fitness Center doing business as Cameza LLC.I have reviewed the information within the compliant in which you were given and feel as though you have been miss informed by the customer. I will be providing...

you with signed documentation to support our business conduct along with detailed conversations of the account in question from my staff.  Below is a list of the submitted documentation being given: 1) Signed Contracts which the Attorney Generals has approved us to do business with.2) Restructured contracts with signatures to assist with customers financial request on 11/20/17.3) Documents obtained from clients personal training sessions and personal conversations in which they had regarding appointments showing use of services.  4) Copy of a check dated 11/13/17 for pmt to the club where we meet with client and his grandmother [redacted]) for her to review and watch client ([redacted]) sign for services prior to the 12/19/2017 complaint in which we were asked not to speak with the daughter ([redacted]) regarding anything and that ([redacted]) was the one handling the pmts which the check provided shows she is the rep. payee.  5) We just recently received a copy of a medical note faxed to club on 12/19/17 which was the first time it was brought to our attention that the client has had any medical issues. It clearly states under NY State Law a consumer has 3 days upon signing up to void a contract and at no time did either the mother or grandmother ([redacted]) listed as the payee object to anything. The documentation we have provided shows that [redacted] had a very in-depth conversation with my trainer (AJ) regarding how beneficial this will be for [redacted] and has been using the services since 8/27/17 with no problem up till now. However we find it to be ironic that all of this started when my Assistant Manager (Kelly) was informed by the client that the amount of his SSI check was changing and needed to change pmt terms, which we complied with their request to lower the pmts and still continue services. If it is truly a financial issue than obviously we have shown, we can accommodate to that change and assist our clients, but we can’t just break a contract that someone agreed to because they don’t feel like paying for it anymore or it does not fit into their finances due to financial changes that occurred to them that we did not cause. Yes we feel for them and will do our part to adjust and still provide them with the services they signed up for. Based on the documentation we have sent I show that we have been more than accommodating to the customers needs while trying to uphold our business policies. We are not charging him $290 a month for any of the services, his total monthly bill is for $130.69. In addition, we also feel there is obviously some miscommunication on their end seeing as we are being asked not to speak with certain individuals within the family. We do not wish to get involved in their personal turmoil our job is to help people feel better which is what the client came in and signed up for and documentation shows he has been using the club and trainer along with showing personal and physical improvement. We feel that [redacted] want’s to be at the gym and he isn’t receiving the support he wants for trying to make himself feel better. Champions Fitness has proudly served the community for over 30 years and has provided a multitude of different services  to customers just like [redacted] along with maintaining long term established contracts with agencies such as [redacted] just to name a few, that help individuals pay for health and wellness services for their patrons. At this time, Champions Fitness feels it has honored the services requested to date and does not owe clients/customers any refunds for services used but we feel it would be in the best interest to terminate and remaining contractual terms effective immediately do to recent events until a more mutual understanding can be established. Thank you for your assistance in this [redacted]er and should you need any additional information please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] or via email at [redacted].Christy [redacted] General Manager/President
