To whom it may concern: I, as owner of Champions Gymnastics & Cheer, have spoken in length to [redacted] about her concern of Champions this August.Although she actually never got to come to the gym since she was working, her husband did come in Her information came from her older daughter, which we still take seriously I have spoken to our CEO and to the directors of the camp that her daughters attended Her complaint said that we employed high school kids to supervise small children - At Champions we use full year staff that are either in college, or already out We also use high school ages for assistants at special events like birthday parties or camps. The camp she attended had six staff members who were in college, as well as a handful of kids in high schoolThere were only about kids at this camp Ratio we always respect is about : but at camp with station leaders, directors, and extra hands for changing stations, it is normally even lower Especially with the younger groupsHer complaint that they lacked experience and didn’t provide supervision. All staff go through our counselor training each week before camp and head staff that are with us year round, attend a week of intensive Champions Staff Conference as well as Gymnastics Association of Texas Conference and most of them have taught camps for many years We also have morning and afternoon (before and after camp) meetings to double check plans, special notes on children, and then recap afterwards We continually try to train and add more in our training to make our staff the reason the parents come to us! There was no actual instruction. The camp is a Summer Day Camp, not solely gymnastics, so we do about 33% gymnastics and tumbling during the day, with other stations involving themed instruction in art, dance, cooperative games, discovery science, kids yoga and snack/lunch.Since all of the kids are different levels and ages, while we do facilitate gymnastics practice and instruct the basics, it isn't as thorough as a class, which is a completely different structure Our suggestion is next year to do the gymnastics focus acampAs far as the strange responses and behavior of one of the high school coaches - I will not mention name - she normally has done a wonderful job with the children We feel like she was just trying to get to know the kids and have fun with them, but with this feedback, even if done in a teasing manner it was totally inappropriate and she will not be invited back to return next summer. We will continue with thorough coach - staff training, and make sure all areas are fully coveredAs far as pictures, we do pass camp pictures of the day to other campers in a cute slide show or email format We have that release as part of our registration page BUT WE NEVER put names And would never put a picture that might be inappropriate/unflatteringWe never received an email from her so it might have gotten stuck in the works of the office or web so the letter from Revdex.com was the first we knew of the problem We called the day we got the letter. We always take our customer service seriously only second to the safety of our children We go to alot of training and conferences to make sure we are up to date on the most efficient and safe methods and equipment in teaching these kids.We follow lesson plans and scheduled rotations Let me know if you need anything else We are hopeful this helps her feel like we do take her points seriously and appreciate her business at Champions [redacted] ***ownerChampions Gymnastics & Cheer

To whom it may concern: I, as owner of Champions Gymnastics & Cheer, have spoken in length to [redacted] about her concern of Champions this August. Although she actually never got to come to the gym since she was working, her husband did come... in. Her information came from her older daughter, which we still take seriously. I have spoken to our CEO and to the directors of the camp that her daughters attended. Her complaint said that we employed high school kids to supervise small children - At Champions we use full year staff that are either in college, or already out. We also use high school ages for assistants at special events like birthday parties or camps. The camp she attended had six staff members who were in college, as well as a handful of kids in high school. There were only about 50 kids at this camp. Ratio we always respect is about 1 : 7 but at camp with station leaders, directors, and extra hands for changing stations, it is normally even lower. Especially with the younger groups. Her complaint that they lacked experience and didn’t provide supervision. All staff go through our counselor training each week before camp and head staff that are with us year round, attend a week of intensive Champions Staff Conference as well as Gymnastics Association of Texas Conference and most of them have taught camps for many years. We also have morning and afternoon (before and after camp) meetings to double check plans, special notes on children, and then recap afterwards. We continually try to train and add more in our training to make our staff the reason the parents come to us! There was no actual instruction. The camp is a Summer Day Camp, not solely gymnastics, so we do about 33% gymnastics and tumbling during the day, with other stations involving themed instruction in art, dance, cooperative games, discovery science, kids yoga and snack/lunch. Since all of the kids are different levels and ages, while we do facilitate gymnastics practice and instruct the basics, it isn't as thorough as a class, which is a completely different structure. Our suggestion is next year to do the gymnastics focus add-on camp. As far as the strange responses and behavior of one of the high school coaches - I will not mention name - she normally has done a wonderful job with the children. We feel like she was just trying to get to know the kids and have fun with them, but with this feedback, even if done in a teasing manner . it was totally inappropriate and she will not be invited back to return next summer. We will continue with thorough coach - staff training, and make sure all areas are fully covered. As far as pictures, we do pass camp pictures of the day to other campers in a cute slide show or email format. We have that release as part of our registration page. BUT WE NEVER put names. And would never put a picture that might be inappropriate/unflattering. We never received an email from her so it might have gotten stuck in the works of the office or web so the letter from BBB was the first we knew of the problem. We called the day we got the letter. We always take our customer service seriously only second to the safety of our children. We go to alot of training and conferences to make sure we are up to date on the most efficient and safe methods and equipment in teaching these kids. We follow lesson plans and scheduled rotations. Let me know if you need anything else. We are hopeful this helps her feel like we do take her points seriously and appreciate her business at Champions. [redacted] owner Champions Gymnastics & Cheer
