I'm sorry - as you can see MsR*** may not be aware of my predicamentAttached picture clearly shows that this vehicle was registered in July of Also, when we returned the jetski the manager and his crew said the jetski was fine - then they called me back + changed their mindsPictures attachedMsR*** herself PROMISED to e-mail a receipt of the damages repaired by SaleenI did not come up with that in thin airShe could not provide a receipt from Saleen, because they never did they repair (I called them!) There was never any damage to the vehicle, other than wear + tearObviously, this business repeatedly charges their customers for repairs they never doAt the time of the rental, I made it abundantly clear I did not want a BRAND NEW VEHICLE because I did not want to be charged for any new wear + tearThey assured me all would be fineIt's a scam! If I do not receive reimbursement for this, I will contact the IRSThese folks are collecting funds for repairs, they do not repair them + they are not paying taxes on the pseudo-funds they receivePlease look at the photos attachedThey were taken at 5:PM on August 6, Thank you

Dear Michelle, Thank you for your letter dated  Jan 26, 2017 addressed to the Nautical Watersports Center.a m not involved  in the Day to Day operations of the Nautical  Watersports Center but have owned  the concession for Retail and Watersports  at  the Nautical Inn since 1 84.  l currently own and operate
Multi-Million Dollar Resorts: Pirates Den RV Resort and Marina  in Parker,  AZ, Sun dance RV Resort in Earp, CA and recently sold Pirates Cove RV Resort and Marina in Needles, CA.  I mention  this only  to try to gain some credibility  that the Nautical  Watersports Center  is not a Mom and  Pop company  who has to ch ea t their rental customers to make payroll  for the week.  The Nautical Watersports Center is a small company but  is the  largest boat rental company in Arizona. The boat and watersports rental business has an inherent challenge in that the majority of the guests we rent to have little or no boating experience. Because I've been in this business including boat manufacturing for 30 years I recognize that no matter how thorough the boating orientation given  by our dock employees is, we are going to experience a considerable amount of physical damage due  to the inexperience  of the operators we are renting  to. The paperwork every Guest signs is clear (I have enclosed  co pies of the contracts) thc:t any  damage that  occurs during the  rental is the responsibility of the renter  to pay for.  This is a written  contract  that is legally binding. Although  lam  impressed with Mrs. [redacted]'s tenacity,  here are the facts according to our dock manage r, Rob.Please refer to his enclosed statement. My review  of the situation is as follows:1.   Mrs. [redacted] rented a ski boat and  a personal watercraft from  the Nautical  Watersports Center.2.   The ski boat came back with  a damaged prop  and  Mrs. [redacted] did  not contest the charge for the damaged propeller.3.   The  personal watercraft had  many  damaged areas on the hull upon its return and  despite Mrs.[redacted]'s claim of a July registration the photocopy of the registration clearly shows that this ski was registered on 8/4/2016.  It was put  into the rental  fleet rotation on 8/6/2016.  The guest  visually inspected the water  craft for damage and  signed the pre-rental condition form and  by doing so agreed that  the condition of the personal watercraft was without any  prior damage. 4.   Upon  the completion of the rental  Mrs. [redacted] stated that  the damage was due to norm a l wear  and  tear. She told our  staff her son  beached the personal watercraft next to another boa t which  banged into  the ski and  that  was where the damage occurred, therefore she felt she  was no t responsible to pay for the damage.5.   She signed a second credit card  sales slip agreeing to pay for the damages separate from  the rental  which was paid  up front.6.   She disputed the charges with  the issuing bank  and  lost the first dispute and  then  lost the appeal a second time. She has now  contacted you.Resolution: Upon  reviewing the rental  contract, statements, and  invoices for the damage it is clear the Nautical Watersports Center  paid  the fiberglass repairman $400.00 for the repair of the personal water craft. (See the invoice  attached) The dock  manager had estimated the repair would  cost $490.00 and  the office collected  that amount from Mrs. [redacted]. We do have the cost of transportation which could  make  up the $90.00 difference. (See invoice attached)I want  all parties to understand that  upon my review the Nautical Watersports Center was not guilty of any  wrongdoing, fraud, or scam  as has been alleged.  However, we do  not like to have our guests feel cheated as obviously, Mrs. [redacted] does.   What  I would like to propose to close  the dispute is a payment of $90.00 to Mrs.  [redacted] and a gift certificate for a free boa t or personal watercraft rental  at either  the Nautical Watersports Center i.n Lake Havasu or Pirates Den in Parker, AZ.  Fuel is not included and  of course Mrs. [redacted] will be responsible for any damage that would occur.   I hope that  my offer will be received by Mrs. [redacted] with  the good  faith intended and  perhaps will change her impression as to what kind of company we are.  I look forward to what I hope  will be a positive response.

Dear Representative of Revdex.com,   I first want to apologize for not responding to this complaint until today. We are a very seasonal business with this being our off season and I was out of town on a buying trip for our store so just received and opened this letter yesterday. I am responding as...

quickly as possible.   I am one of the owners of this business and we have been aware of this customers issue regarding the damage to the personal watercraft. I am including evidence of the damage that occurred on 8/6/2016. The personal watercraft was rented by this customer and as a part of our rental contract we review the responsibility of the customer for the rental equipment and include a thorough walk around of the rental equipment. If there is any damage it is documented on a check out form.  We then do an orientation to its operation and explain the ways to prevent any damage from occurring to the rental equipment prior to the rental equipment leaving our rental docks. It is all a part of our rental contract and pre-rental check list.   This was a brand new ski. This personal watercraft was registered on 8/4/2016 with AZ Game and Fish and I have enclosed a copy for you to see the date of registration. (It was not registered in July as the customer suggested in her complaint). We would not rent a skiprior to it being registered with AZ Game and Fish, with legal decals and safety requirements in place. This watercraft was put in to the rental rotation on 8/6/2016. This was the very first time this ski was rented which was the morning of 8/6/2016. Our rental dock staff did a complete walk around of the ski prior to it leaving the dock and it was in perfect condition with no marks or damage. The renter agreed by signing the pre-rental checklist that there were no damages. She allowed her son to use the ski that day and he returned it with damage all around the ski as shown it the photo's I have also enclosed. She came back to the rental office to close out the account and admitted her son had the skion a beach and another boat had pulled up next to him and this is how the damage occurred. She asked me why I put them out on a new personal watercraft. She wished I had put her on an older one.  We try to put all our guests on the nicest rental equipment we have and I thought she was responsible and would return it in the condition it was received. I have a dock manager who is responsible for evaluating any damage to the rental equipment when the equipment is returned at the end of each rental period.  He also makes arrangements to get our damaged rental equipment repaired.  We have 2-3 fiberglass repair companies that fix our equipment and Saleen fiberglass is one of them but not the only one we use. My dock manager does a good job of estimating repairs. He has been with us for 5 years and is a salaried employee. This is the most difficult part of his job and customers who do damage to the equipment are not happy they have to pay for this but collecting for damages is a necessary part of our business. We wish that all or our rental equipment would be returned without damage. Not only are customers unhappy, but we are also losing revenue while the rental equipment is out of service being repaired. We always encourage customers to take pictures of our rental equipment before leaving our docks and upon return of the equipment. We also take photos of the damaged equipment when it is returned.  We encourage the customer to take photos for their records as well . We have no problem with this. We believe our pricing for damage is fair.   I am sorry this damage occurred to the personal watercraft while in her son's possession that day but it was a new, undamaged ski and was returned with the damages you see on the photos submitted.   We have no reason to submit false photos. We have been in business for over 16 years and are a fair and reputable company. We rent equipment, daily during our rental season, which is returned with no damage at all. Unfortunately when damage occurs the renter must take responsibility for the damages. The renter is the responsible party,as per the contract, even if they allow someone else to ride or drive the equipment. Therefore they are the party that is charged for the damage that occurred.   Please contact me for any other questions or if you would like additional copies of the contract signed or any further information regarding this complaint.     Sincerely,   Barbara R[redacted]   Nautical Sports Center
