The customer originally dropped of his truck & informed the service writer that he needed the value rockers adjusted on the truck.  He was informed, at that time, we were backed up due to the holidays.   
When the tech started the truck to...

pull into a bay, he noticed fuel overflowing from the carburetor and that the spark plug wires had fallen off of the spark plugs.  The rockers were set cold and the customer was informed of the other issues.  
The customer asked if we would remove the carburetor for him so he personally could take and have it rebuilt.  When customer returned with the carburetor two weeks later, he informed us he would install the carburetor himself along with the spark plug wires that he supplied.  The truck would not start and he asked tech for help and was shown he had installed the plug wires incorrectly. Tech also noticed the carburetor vacuum plugs and hoses were installed incorrectly to the carburetor. He asked for help, truck started, then truck stalled.   To get fuel pressure had to tap on fuel pump (note: the fuel pump was a after market electric pump mounted on the frame)  Customer informed of issue and he decided to take truck home.   Customer left and bought another fuel pump and asked us to install.   New pump came with fuel pressure regulator and old rubber lines were all dried, we replaced the old lines.  Truck then fired up.  The rocker valve lash tested again hot and were within specification.  Checked and corrected timing because customer brought truck in with a loose distributor.  
The customer then called the shop and asked us to come and repair the truck on his property and obviously we cannot do that.  He wanted us to have the truck towed into our shop at our cost.  He was asked to bring the truck to us for further evaluation.   The total cost to the customer to adjust the rocker valve lash and installing the supplied fuel pump, fuel lines and fittings was $593.27.  The customer has since then stopped payment

Review: I took my vehicle in for service. I requested the roller rockers on passenger side back be checked and or service if needed. It took business three weeks before even looking at truck. After three weeks they told me the truck ready. I went to pick my truck up. I paid $146.31 for repairs. It would not make it across the street. Had them pull vehicle back to the shop. They told me the carburetor need to be rebuilt. Even though the repair odder stated that the fuel pump needed to be tapped on to start the truck. I took the carburetor in had it rebuilt. I took the carburetor back to them two weeks later. They called me a week after that and said the fuel pump needed to be replaced. I went that day and brought a new fuel pump. The next day they told ed me all the fuel lines should be replaced. I told them to put the fuel pump back on and I will pick it up. After about another week and half they called me and said the truck was ready. I went to pick the truck up at that time I noticed the truck was popping and would not stay running unless I put my foot on the brake and gas peddle at the same time. I barley got the truck home. I called the and stated my concerns also asked them to send out a tow truck to pick up my truck and fix it correctly. They told me it would be at my expense. I cannot get them to pick the truck up or come and repair it.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back which comes to $1000.00 and send my truck to repair shop to have it fix correctly. The shop I preferred is ADS on chandler blvd and beck.
