I am rejecting this response because: As I stated, this man is not honest and he is the only person who worked on this generator. It would be his resposibility before leaving my home after making the factory modification that he made on the circuit that would allow electricity to flow into the house he would have shut off the P.G.&E power and tested that the generator would come on and there would be electricity to the circuits inside the house before he left. I was present before he left and he never did test anything before he left. When the first power failure occurred the generator did come on as designed but there was no power to the circuit breaker from the generator that allows power inside the house to the selected circuits. This is why I believe he turned off the generator breaker while he was working on it and he is now denying that he did. This installation was part of my solar contract and the solar contractor has sent me the fee charged by Chandler Electric. There is no need for me to have any further contact with this business and I have contacted the manufacture of the generator for a referral of another factory representative in my area for further service and warranty needs.

Review: The business owner for Chandler Electric was called to check out why the emergency generator he had installed did not provide electricity to my residence during a power outage. The installer owner did not make any suggestions at the time of the request for service as to what we should check to remedy the problem. When he responded he found the circuit breaker contained within the generator turned off to be the problem. The owner installer had previously made and update to the circuit controlling power from the generator to the house and I suspect had turned off this circuit during the factory update and modification. He denied doing this even though this is a new unit installed by his company as part of my solar electric installation and he has been the only person working on the unit. Instead he sent me a service bill for turning on a switch he had turned off. This contractor is not honest and this bill is outrageous.In addition to this situation the contractor came to my home unannounced and did service work which included shutting off electricity to my home. On one occassion I was only aware that he had been there because of damage done to a cover I had built over one of the electrical panels installed for the emergency generator.During both incidents where no notification had been made the contractor blamed his method of doing business on the manufacture of the generator for paying so little for these modifications that he could only do them when he was already in my area doing other business.Desired Settlement: I have now sent the contractor a payment for the bill he sent me as he has added late charges and I do not wish to risk his trying to damage my credit. I am requesting he return this service fee or I will seek reembursement from the original solar contractor who hired this company or Generac the generator manufacture.
