Do not understand minister taxes.
Was repeatedly given wrong information about tax preparation. Have paid monthly for service and they refused to file a W-2. Tried to send a 1099. Was pressured to file taxes illegally by Joni to make her job easier. Both Joni and Chris tried to pressure our business into illegal and unethical decisions. We have now had to obtain legal council to follow up with this situation. They waited eight days to the filing deadline and tried to use the deadline as a threat to strong arm us into a bad decision. This is the second time I have had issues using them and have spoken to several others who have all said it's always a fight when using Chaney Associates. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
However, I will note a few things to be clearThe "course of action" they provided months ago was not validI responded within one or two business days to say it was not valid and another solution was requiredThey did not respond to that until I filed the complaint with the Revdex.comOver the last two weeks, we identified yet another major error in the accounting work done last yearWhen it was flagged, the response did not acknowledge any of the documentation I provided and suggested we were in error when it was clear by the paperwork provided it was an error on their partAnd last of all, in response to the statement: "I know that it might have taken longer than you'd like, but working with the tax authorities can be an arduous process." The issue was resolved with a simple 941-x form and basic accounting workWe have been waiting months for something that took a couple days at best to resolveThrough that time, we had repeatedly left phone messages and emails and received no responseThe first time we saw quick and consistent communication was after I filed the complaint with the Revdex.comYes - we feel the resolutions provided since I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com are satisfactoryI do not appreciate the written response provided Chaney and Associates in which they continued to not take full responsibility for their errors and shocking lack of communication along the wayWe are grateful that our account has been closed with them and would caution others from working with them based on the experience we had

I am informing you that it has been resolved. Thank you

Review: Chaney and Associates served as our accounting company for a little over a year. We discovered a number of errors along the way including but not limited to a significant error in the 2015 taxes they filed on our behalf. That led us to switch to another company. We were promised by one of their Business Development Managers that he would personally work with us and the team there to ensure they closed out all final responsibilities without a hitch. However, after that phone call the Business Development Manager did not take or return any of my future calls or emails. since February I've sent over a dozen emails to all of the people we have worked with there, with the final items that need to be addressed to close out our working relationship and I've only received one response from a payroll specialist who merely said she would get back to me with information but never did. I've also placed several calls but have not received any response. We still have unresolved back taxes that need to be paid. We also need them to order a disc of the financial data in [redacted] - which we are dependent on them to do since they managed the account. The lack of communication from Chaney and Associates has been the most unprofessional display I've ever experienced. I can understand honest mistakes. I can not understand the complete lack of communication or willingness to help your client work towards a resolution.Desired Settlement: I would like Chaney and Associates to handle the resolution of filing the back taxes owed.

I would like Chaney and Associates to order the disc of our data on [redacted] and have it delivered to us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

However, I will note a few things to be clear. The "course of action" they provided months ago was not valid. I responded within one or two business days to say it was not valid and another solution was required. They did not respond to that until I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com. Over the last two weeks, we identified yet another major error in the accounting work done last year. Review: Chaney & Associates is contracted by Trinity Christian School to handle all billings. I received a billing for February 2015. The transaction which I paid via credit card showed up as being processed on Wednesday 02/11/2015 and settled on Thursday 02/12/15. The amount charged to me was $256.00 I received an invoice from [redacted] on Saturday 02/21/15. I called and directly spoke with [redacted] on Monday 02/23/15 and also sent him an e-mail of proof of payment and confirmed with [redacted] that he received my e-mail. On Sunday 03/01/15 I sent a follow up e-mail to [redacted] requesting that he contact me because I have not heard back from him. On Tuesday 03/03/15 I received another e-mail from [redacted] that I have not paid for February 2015. [redacted] has never once contacted me nor replied to me providing proof of payment.Desired Settlement: I want Chaney & Associates to contact me by phone & provide proof by e-mail that the February 2015 billing has been paid. I no longer want to deal with the incompetence of [redacted] for any future billings from the company Chaney & Associates. A similar situation has happened in the past & [redacted] has never contacted or replied to me. The prior situation was handled by one of [redacted]' colleagues & not [redacted] himself. I expect immediate resolution or I will dispute the charges.
