Chantilly Auto Sales Reviews (5)

Working through USAAs car buying service, I was referred to Chantilly auto to purchase a Honda Pilot. Chantilly Auto represented the car as never being in an accident. It also had a CarFax report demonstrating the same. Prior to purchasing, I had the car inspected by an independent auto mechanic. The mechanics report showed the car had been in an accident. The report went on to suggest, based on the alignment of the bumper and paint job, the accident was obvious. Based on this, I concluded Chantilly Auto had willfully misrepresented this vehicle. I returned the car and provided Chantilly Auto the report for their review. Because of the misrep, I asked Chantilly Auto to reimburse the $125 Pre-purchase inspection fee. They refused. I have also reported Chantilly Auto to USAA in the hopes they will discipline their dealer for the misrep.

Purchased a Odyssey VanThey showed me a "clean c***"and told me no accidents, no body work and its in great shapeThey bring people in by advertising $2K below market valuemonths after I purchased it, the paint started flaking off the car and revealed major body work done to the front endThe reality is that this van was totally wrecked and they bought it at auction for 1/of what they sold it to me forThis dealership has no integrity and prey's on customers by lying to their face and hiding behind the "as is" contract clauseThey wont return my calls (not surprised)So I now own a van that is worth half what I paid for it plus I have major body work that I will need to pay for out of pocketBuying here is one of the biggest regrets of my life

Review: I purchased a vehicle from this dealer, Chantilly Auto Sales, wherein the salesman guaranteed a certain issue with the car would go away and that the vehicle just needed to be driven 300 miles for the noise to go away. And if it did not go away, they would bring the vehicle to their auto shop, [redacted] in Chantilly, VA, to have an estimate done and fixed. The dealer went so far as to use the words, "I guarantee that we will do this," and gave me a receipt of the work that was supposed to be done as collateral. Since the damage to the vehicle's engine has gotten progressively worse, I called Chantilly Auto Sales and they have told me they can't "find time" to schedule the estimate. After the second time they said this, they have since stopped answering my calls, and it now goes straight to voice mail every time I call--regardless of time of day.

I also purchased insurance on the vehicle for 3 months, and now a month and a half has passed without me being able to use the insurance to get the repairs done.Desired Settlement: I want the dealer to answer my call, schedule the estimate in a reasonable time to have the repair done (before my insurance expires), to honor their "guarantee" to me on what we negotiated during the signing of the contract (I have a witness present at the time that can testify to the incident), and I want to have the car repaired to satisfaction.

Review: We placed a deposit on a vehicle to hold the vehicle while we continued to shop. Chantilly Auto Sales represented and confirmed to us multiple times that the deposit was fully refundable. When we ended up buying a different vehicle, Chantilly Auto Sales again confirmed that they would go ahead and refund our deposit. This, however, has not been completed. We have tried to contact them through their website and through the telephone, but none of our emails or voicemails have been returned.Desired Settlement: For Chantilly Auto Sales to honor their commitment to refund the deposit in full.
