Chantilly Motors Inc. Reviews (2)

May 12, 2014
Dear [redacted]:I was contacted by Chantilly Motors, Inc., to represent them in response to Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted], which you state was submitted on 4/6/2014.My clients position is that Chantilly Motors Inc. has not performed any improper mechanical services and has...

in fact performed beyond the standards required under the circumstances in an effort to satisfy their customer and at the complainants requests. It appears from comments the complainant made to Chantilly Motors personnel upon their first visit that the complainant herein had the pre-conceived motion that he could get a new engine for his 2005 [redacted] in one way or another. The complainant in fact stated that in the past, due to engine issues, his wife was able to get a new engine from a [redacted] dealership. To assist you in your investigation, we would kindly request that you refer to the attached letter/response and exhibits sent to the Consumer Affairs Branch of [redacted] County in response to a complaint made to them by the same people, and which delineates the history of the repairs. My client states that the complainant brought the vehicle in for engine noise and engine light problems. Certain repairs were made as requested by complainant, and recommendations for repairs the vehicle needed were strongly made (as described on the invoice given to complainant) to the complainant who stated he did not have the money to pay for the repairs. The following statements made in the complaint are a falsehood:1. Lack of vital fluids is untrue, Chantilly Motors never made such a diagnosis as reflected in the 1/17/14 invoice. (invoice is attached)2. Complaint states that the car had to be returned after the first repair after being driven a quarter mile. This statement is untrue. Refer to the invoice of 1/17/14,mileage of 133,341, and on the return date invoice of 2/18/14, the mileage is 134,552. (invoice is attached)3. Complaint states that after repairs were done that he had to return the vehicle after two days. This is completely untrue. Complainant drove the car for a month and did not return until 3/24/14, as reflected in the [redacted]s invoice with a mileage of 134,717. (invoice is attached)Chantilly Motors, Inc. personnel takes pride in their work and state that they do provide superior auto repairs service for their customers. They go out of theirway providing a loaner car for their clients and go beyond what are the requirements of a repair shop to satisfy their customers.Chantilly Motors, Inc. provided great service to complainants vehicle and made repairs at their expense for problems for which they were not responsible in an effort to please the complainant who seems to be only interested in getting a new engine in one way or another,It is clear that the complainants vehicle was repaired properly and later developed other issues, not caused by improper repairs performed by my clients. My client denies any responsibility for any additional repairs the vehicle may need which were caused by the complainant and/or by other factors and would request that an independent [redacted] dealership perform further diagnostics at the complainants expense.Sincerely,

Review: Auto repair company refuses to accept liability for improper mechanical services performed on vehicle that has resulted in additional damage. With negotiation, Company has attempted to fix vehicle on two occasions, however, after each attempt, the problem returns and worsen. In fact on one occasions, customer returned after driving less than a quarter mile. Assessment for this event determined that vital fluids were missing from the vehicle. After the second rework (at their expense), vehicle ceased functioning after 2 days from customer pick-up. Company has verbally admitted to making repair mistakes and has provided a service-car substitute during the most recent 1 month assessment period-- which marks the third time customer's vehicle has been held by company. The current problem is that after 1 month to assess most recent systemic failure, Company has now refused to accept liability for required repair to vehicle. The overall problem is that the Customer's vehicle entered for company service drivable and after 3 months of inferior repair, vehicle is now totally inoperable and requires a complete engine replacement.Desired Settlement: Customer requests Company to accept liability and incur cost to repair vehicle -- replace engine with a product of equal or better mileage; with a minimum 3 year warranty on product and services provided; reimbursement for customer incurred costs (e.g. towing).
