Paid for repairs that were not needed and did not fix the issue.
I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. My check engine light had come on a few months prior. While getting my oil change I had it looked at and was told it was the evap seal on my gas door. On January 12, 2018 I took my Jeep in for my oil change and had them replace this seal. I was told the cost was around $300, the part only costing around $45. 2 days later my check engine light came on and I called the dealership who told me to bring my car in and I left it for the day and was told that now it was a fuel sensor pump that costs $400 with the part only costing $16. A couple days later my light again came back on and I brought it back to the dealership. I told the service rep upon leaving my car I wanted a refund of the monies already paid for repairs that were not needed and did not fix my issue. I had to leave my car with the dealership for 3 days. I was given a car to drive that was NOT comparable to my car. I picked up my car the night of Friday 1-26-18. I was told that it was a small hose crack. I again asked for a refund and was told the manager said no and he had already left for the day. I was told he would give me a call. I have called and not received a call back. The manager has never spoke to me about my repair issues. I was without my car for 5 days over the past two weeks, have been to the dealership 7 times. I am asking for money paid for the 2 charges that did not fix my issue. I should not pay for the dealership to get training time on my vehicle.

I was very inconvenienced, took time away from my job and my infant to get my car fixed. I feel taken advantage of for being a women at the dealership without any car knowledge. I trusted that it would have been fixed the first time.

Desired Outcome

I would like the ~700 I paid for the evap seal replacement and the fuel sensor pump. These were not needed and did not fix my issue.

Our Service manager spoke with Ms. on Jan 29th regarding her complaint. A check engine light can, without exaggeration, have 1000's of fault codes and can be caused by multiple malfunctions. Our service manager has offered to have Ms. bring her vehicle back to us for a free diagnoses and will put her in a rental car at no charge to her. He is also willing to give Ms. a discount on the labor if she chooses to have her car repaired here. We have not knowingly taken advantage of Ms. or any of our customers. Unfortunately, Ms. had multiple malfunction with her vehicle all of which set off the check engine light.

Per ***'s response, they do not know why my check engine light is on. Therefor I should not have paid to have items they told me were the reason. I have taken my car there 3 times and have already left it there and got a loaner car while they figured it out for 3 days. I do not have the time to leave my car at their dealership while they test out the 1000 codes any longer. I have already left my car there for 5 days. I currently still have a check engine light on. I am very unhappy with Jeep and will never purchase a Jeep again! You say you will do a free diagnoses but I have already paid you and you didn't fix anything! You have cost me time off of work and time away from my toddler while I deal with your incompetent repair shop. I would like a full refund of the moneies already paid to you for work that did not need to be completed.

Sad that a company would take advanatage of a women and charge her and promise the work for repairs would be completed. Total lies. Worst service manager I have ever dealt with!

Tire issue regarding tips that were replaced by Greeneville Nissan service dept.
Broughton 2015 Mitsubishi mirage in May. Tires were worn. Dealership agreed to replace tires 6 weeks ago. Last week I noticed a bulge on the rear left tire.Went back to the dealership they said it was unsafe to drive and wanted to charge me to replace the tire. 135.00. I found tires at a local tire store much cheaper. Upon removal of the tires they found the bead was broken on 3 of 4 tires. Went back to Greeneville Nissan they take nothey take no responsibility.I have a statement saying bead was broken upon removal of tires. Still no responsibility from Greeneville Nissan. Was offered 125.00 store credit. Very rude and unconcerned sales manager (***).

Desired Outcome

IHad the tires been mounted correctly I would not have had to spend 275.00 on new tires.I would ask that I be refunded my money for the tires I had to buy.

Ms. purchased a pre-owned vehicle on May 13, 2017. She was unhappy with the tires that was on the vehicle at time of purchase. Trying to satisfy Ms., we replaced the tires under *** on or about June 21, 2017. These tires did not have Road Hazzard on them. Ms. returned to our dealership on or about Aug 2, 2017 complaining about a "bulge" in one of her tires. Our technician believed it to be from hitting a pot hole. She declined us to replace the tire and took it to *** They replaced the tire and told her the beads were broken on the tire they replaced. Our Service Manager tried to explain to her that the beads can be broken when you take the tire off the vehicle. We could not, within in reasonable doubt, tell if the tires were defective, damaged or if the beads were broken when *** removed the tires. In order to try to satisfy Ms., as her business and satisfaction is very important to us, we did give her a $125 in store credit. This amount was half of the price of the set of tires. We feel that we have genuinely tried to satisfy Ms. and make her business with us as pleasurable as we could.

Customer Response

I do not accept this response because when I first took the vehicle in for the tire, the technician didn't even take the tire off. I was told it was dangerous to drive and they would sell me another tire for approximately $135.00. I knew this was way over priced. I came home and called Bridgestone Tire and spoke with a representative who told me the "bead" could only be broken upon mounting test tires. I then proceeded to call other tire stores for prices. Double D tire had the best price. There I ask them to check all the tires for my piece of mind and that's when they told me 3 of the 4 tires had broken beads and marked each one. I immediately returned to Greenville Nissan where they said they couldn't give refunds.I ask them to call Bridgestone they refused. This is my complaint.

Ms. purchased her pre-owned vehicle, "As Is". She was disatiisfied with the tires on the car and to try to please Ms., we replaced the tires at no charge to her. The tires were not under warranty and when Ms. came back to us with a damaged tire, we could not prove, without a reasonable doubt, that the tire was defective or damaged, but, in an attempt to accommodate Ms., we offered her a store credit of $125.00, half of the price of the set of tires. We value Ms. as a customer and have made numerous attempts to extend Ms. with great customer service. However, in another attempt to harbor good will and to show Ms. that we value her as a great customer, we will be more than happy to extend the store credit we offered her to a cash credit of $125.00. Ms. only needs to return to us the paper work that shows she has a store credit and we will be happy to either mail a check to Ms. or she can pick it up with a 24 hour notice so we can make sure that the check is ready for her as our checks require two signatures.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I will accept this CASH offer for $125.00. This could have been solved in the beginning had the dealership truly had my best interest at heart as they now claim. Safety was my main issue and it seems they were not concerned at all. I will send a copy of the statement given to me regarding the store credit. In turn they can mail my check within 10 days o September 7,2017.
