I [redacted] girlfriend of [redacted] is writing what happened. I call the dealer made app. I went there because [redacted] worrs. They take the care it around as they told me they couldn't find the problem. 2 days later I go and ask them how come they couldn't find the problem. They say, we drove it in the yard put it in the machines. Now I ask if the car doesn't have the engine light on could they make a diagnostic? and then he said we actually work on the car for 1 hr 1/2 we charge you 1hr 100.00. I think they shouldn't. Desired SettlementFind the problem if they are experts. I don't think it was fare that they charge 100.00 dollars when they couldn't find the problem.Business' Initial Response To whom it may concern, Apparently this car had been at many different repair facilities before coming to us. They brought it to us because we are a General Motors "Certified Service Center". We carefully explained to [redacted] that the car had a very unusual problem that was hard to diagnose. Our [redacted] asked [redacted] how much money she wanted to spend in trying to find the problem. He told her we could fix it but there was no way in knowing just how much time it would take. He suggested that we start with an hour of diagnostic time and see from there. We actually worked on the car for 1.6 hours and were unable to find the problem. We came back to [redacted] and asked her if she wanted to continue and she said no. We only charged her for one hour of labor time (not the 1.6 we had in it) as agreed upon prior to the start of the work. She paid us for the work performed and left. She came back a few days later to dispute the charges. We told her we only did what she agreed upon. We did not charge her for the additional .6 hour of labor we spent on the car in our attempt to find the issue. Everything was explained in full before we started any work on the car. She was charged nothing more than she agreed to spend to try to diagnose a very difficult problem to find. We are the experts on Pontiac automobiles, the repair just requires more time than **. [redacted] was willing to invest in this car. We are sorry for her displeasure. This is the first notice I have received on this matter. I'm sorry for the delay in my response.
