We paid in advance and were given room 141. The room had NO HEAT.We complained and were moved to rm 139.Tv not working right and NO HEAT. We booked and paid for our trip from NJ to NC with [redacted] and checked in to The Unniversity Inn on Saturday 2-13-16. We were given room 141. That room had no heat. We called the front desk spoke to [redacted] and he sent a maintainence man to try and take care of it. It was about 25degrees out. They switched our room to 139 which had no heat blowing out. They obviously new that because there was a small portable heater in the room already, which did NOTHING.We were also worried because the extension strip everything was plugged into kept "tripping" because I assume of overload. There was now a safety issue .The TV was also full of snow on the picture and they tried to fix it but said don't touch it be it kept going "white snow". The hotel was full so switching was not an option that day. We spoke our complaints to [redacted] and [redacted]. The next day we spoke to the front desk ,[redacted], calmly telling him of the issues. The manager was not there and he said he would inform the manager.We did not here anything during the day and were so disgusted and did not want to sleep in a freezing room we cut our trip short and drove 8 hours that night back to NJ The only resolution for this problem is a complete REFUND of our 2 nights we paid for.Desired SettlementWe want a full refund for the 2 night stay paid for in advance !!!!

On Saturday October 25, my son and I traveled to Chapel Hill to stay the night at the University Inn. I never intended for my stay to result in contacting you. Our night was not a good one and I have contacted the hotel several times with no follow up to our problem. We reported the morning as we were leaving that there were no blinder curtains in our room. The young man at the desk said that he was the only one on duty, but that he would have someone contact me. No one did. I called back a couple of days later. Told my story, they said the same, that someone would call me back, and no one did. This repeated for 2 weeks. I finally was able to speak to a manager after 2 weeks, who told me that he was 100% sure that there were blinder curtains in every room in the hotel and that they had checked that one and there were curtains in that one as well. I told him that I was 100% sure that there were not when we stayed there. He told me that he would give me $25 off my stay. I told him I was not happy with that at all and he agreed to talk to his superior and call me back and he has not. This is one month later. I just received my credit card statement for that trip and nothing has been taken off that stay. Desired SettlementNot only does this business have no communication and miscommunication, but they have no follow through. I should now be refunded for my entire stay.
