Chapel Ridge Apartments- Conway

I lived at the Chapel Ridge apartments from 2015-2016. During my time a serious mold issue developed in my apartment. The mold damaged approximately $10,000 worth of furniture and clothing. I made a claim through my insurance company and was denied on my claim. The reason the claim was denied is the apartment buildings at Chapel Ridge have a floor fault causing moisture to come up from the floor, especially when it rains. The property manager wrote a letter to my insurance confirming the problem with my apartment and other apartments on the property. The issue was never fixed by the property after several requests. The mold would continue to return no matter how much I cleaned it. Finally, I had no other choice than to move. I could not risk the mold causeing any long term medical damages to my family. I was never given any compensation from Chapel Ridge for the damage to my personal property due to their building faults. I moved several months ago and have yet to receive my security deposit back. The staff have yet to return my phone calls and have not had accurate statements when asked when I am expecting my deposit back. When my spouse went to speak to the property manager several weeks ago they stated that it would be in the mail in 9 days. When my spouse was there, they had already moved another family into the molded apartment we moved out of. This business cannot continue to put people at risk of major health problems caused by mold. I have the letter and several photos for evidence related to my experience.
