I have spoken with the Manager on duty, *** ***y as well as *** *** the finance managerWhat we have is a misunderstanding of a statement of remaining payments and a lease end value adjustment. What happened here is that *** *** came into our dealership with months left on
her current Hyundai lease and wanted to get into another lease*** worked the deal with the salesman and took into account the remaining payments, which *** *** understoodWhen she went into the finance office, *** *** explained that the remaining payments were taken care of now with the new lease, that any "statement" may not reflect this until we make the remaining payments to Hyundai finance, so if she gets a statement to not worry about it.This has nothing to do with the milage issue, which is solely the responsibility of the lesseeWe did not know what she had agreed with *** *** on how many miles she would drive in her lease, she exceeded what she agreed to drive and now *** *** is making a "lease end value adjustment" due to fact she drove many more miles than what she agreed to at the beginning of the lease. When the lessor, *** ***, puts a lease end value on the car, it is based on how many miles and condition the car will be driven based on what the customer tells themThis is a contract agreement between the customer (lessee) and the lessor ( *** *** )When the customer drives more miles than what they told *** *** *** has the right to re-evaluate the lease end valueYou can not expect them to put a lease end value based on driving, say miles a year and then return with miles a year on the car, as an exampleSo every lease company has the right to readjust the lease end value when the lease is over and mileage is exceeded. We are sorry for the miscommunication but this is strictly between what *** *** agreed to how many miles she would drive vs how many miles she actually drove her leaseHope that help explains the difference between the remaining payments (13) statement and the over mileage charge to which she had agreed to with *** *** *** ***Waikem Auto Family

I understand her frustration with no return calls, but *** *** is an F and I manager that works in all our showrooms to handle days off of the other finance managersWe discovered his voicemail was not working properly and other voice mails left had no message attachedWe have since resolved that issue. In regards to the excess mileage on her lease, as she states she had excess in all her leases, then she is responsible to know the liability of the consumer to stay within the agreed upon mileage or to pay the adjustment in the endThere are only a few ways to avoid that, the customer buy their lease out, the dealer buys the car at lease end ( which could be the case in her previous leases ) the lessor ( Hyundai ) waives the fees or the dealer adds the mileage adjustment to the new leaseWe did add the remaining payments to her current lease but their was never any mention of the excess mileageThat is the responsibility of the consumer and am sorry she didn't realize she was over by that many miles, not sure how but that seems to be the case here.We can not cover the expense she occured, several thousands dollars in lease end adjustment, it just can't be doneAs a gesture of a one time goodwill, we will help by contributing $towards her bill. Let me know how to proceed. *** ***Waikem Auto Family

Revdex.com:
Although Waikem Hyundai proposed an adequate resolution to complaint I* *** *hey have failed to carry out this resolution as promised. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
It has now been days since an offer of $as a one time goodwill to resolve this issue No action has been taken to provide this settlement, nor to reach out to communicate status of the process in sending this settlement This is the same behaviour we have experienced with Waikem Hyundai since the onset of the issue on September 16th This is an unacceptable response and very unprofessional practice I have been attempting to receive feedback and have been ignored and avoided since the onset
I request that this complaint be re-opened and the business contacted
Regards,
*** ***
