Review: This apartment home did not only give the apartment that I initially put money down for to a 'woman who was pregnant and needed it more than I' but in addition I was told by [redacted] there were items on my credit report that if I had removed (after I advised her that the items were incorrect) that I could move in once resloved. I provided my corrected credit report and still told that they still could not accept me. Even after I decided to take my business elsewhere as this was a clear indication that they had an issue with my race, I was told I would recieve half of my deposit, it has now been 3 weeks and I still have not recieved my refund. I contacted the office and again I am getting the run around. First I was told it was in the pile to be mailed magically this very day, and when I asked to pick it up instead, I was told the boss is not today to sign the 'check' and that I would need to wait. They do not only discriminate they also like to keep applicants money without intent to refund it in a resonable amount of time. The service here is horrible.

We dispute this claim. The applicant gave us a $100 application fee along with an application. Her application was denied because she did not meet the required rental qualifications. She was refunded half of the deposit, $50, as stated in the application packet. Her check has been cashed.

Review: We lived in [redacted] apartments (owned by Chapman properties) in [redacted] for more than 2 years (2011-2013). We had about $1500 for the deposit. We were ripped off by the management as they are charging us for the unnecessary things after we moved out for no genuine reason. They deducted $796.06 for nonsense reasons ( blinder, carpet, stovetop etc replacements even though that was not necessary). They charged us for the carpet replacement because they want to show the new carpet for the new tenant. After living more than two year, we are charged for blinders with no damage?. Unacceptable!!Desired Settlement: We want our security deposit back.

Mr. [redacted] has resided over the last couple of yea rs in two "2" of our apartment homes, at the [redacted] Apartment community in [redacted]

1. The first apartment was #26. Upon vacating this apartment ,NO damages were incurred and his full security deposit plus interest was returned.

2. [redacted],(Mr. [redacted]), along with [redacted]! entered into a lease agreement with us for apartment #14, with a lease beginning date of 02/01/2011. A move in apartment checklist was completed by both residents and no existing damages were listed for the carpets / stove.

3. On April 4, 2012 a lease addendum was issued, removing [redacted]! and adding Mr. [redacted] to the lease. The lease was now under: [redacted] and [redacted].

4. On June 30,2013 [redacted] & [redacted] vacated apartment #14.

Upon our inspection of the apartment , we determined the carpet in the small bedroom and living room, had extensive red & bleach stains, the kitchen stove top and living room blinds were damaged beyond repair. Mr. [redacted] was contacted about the damages and the charges . He became extremely hostile and abusive to our staff.

We returned $654.56 to Mr. [redacted] . Below is a recap:

Security Deposit: $1,447.50

Replaced living room/bedroom carpet less deprec. (490.81)

Kitchen range less depreciation (193.05)

Living Room Blinds (112.20)

Interest Earned 3.12

We feel that the damage charges for this apartment are fair and documentation.
