In Chappell's response, they are again saying that we had construction going on in and outside of the house There was NO construction going on The wood scraps, trim pieces and two ladders (we don't own saw horses) they saw when they came to inspect the refrigerator were moved from the old house by Chappell and placed in the garage and driveway The items laid there, in the same spot, unmoved, until they came to inspect the damaged fridge We didn't move into the house right away so the items weren't needed and weren't moved by us We've had a very hard time with this...trying to wrap our heads around why an insured company won't take responsibility for something they did and make it right Instead, they are making up accusations....but then again, I guess someone else could have dented the door, like the invisible man or even Martians. I know this much...If I damaged the door by clearing a path to it, I would hold only myself accountable, taking full responsibility for my actions because that's what adults do. I wouldn't try to blame someone else.
We are now stuck with a refrigerator, which was originally in perfect condition, that now can't be used. We feel that their response is unacceptable
