College Station Medical Center has reviewed the Mr [redacted] grievance and we are happy to respond Per Mr [redacted] insurance plan he had a $deductibleAt the time of service, Mr [redacted] had not met his deductible for the yearThe contracted rate with [redacted] for that service was less than Mr [redacted] remaining deductible Since the contracted rate was lower than the remaining deductible, College Station Medical Center billed him for the contracted rate If Mr [redacted] deductible had been met at the time of service, he would only have been responsible for 20% of the contracted amount College Station Medical Center strives to provide excellent customer service to our patients and we strongly regret the misunderstanding between Mr [redacted] and our staff

Based on the documents that we were able to pull from *** ***, the insurance plan became effective on Dec1, 2014. His visit to our ER on Nov11, was prior to the effective date of the policy. We would be happy to schedule a conference call with Mr*** and *** *** if Mr*** would provide us with proof of coverage during the period including November 14,

I am rejecting this response because:
I took the same prescription and took it to *** * *** *** *** *** and had a month's worth of therapy done with the same prescription for a copay each time I went. The co-pay was $30. My insurance covers physical therapy like a doctor's visit with a co-pay. There's no deductible applied. I have all of my receipts from *** * ***. The Med's person, ***, said after I received the first physical therapy visit that I would have to pay a deductible plus 20% of all the cost of the therapy and if they had informed me of this up front, I would have gone somewhere else. And also my wife was receiving physical therapy at the same time from *** *** and all she paid was a $co-pay with no deductible which she has receipts for. I also received a letter from the Med dated 9/13/from *** * *** and in this letter he says "no matter where I received physical therapy, I would have had to pay the deductible plus the 20%, after the deductible. He's wrong. I have the original letter.Regards,*** ***

Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of *** *** Mr*** concerns were investigated by our business office team. At this time we will not be able to accommodate Mr*** request that we correct his credit bureau reports.We would welcome the opportunity to revisit the
matter if Mr*** would supply proof of insurance coverage that would include the date of service (November 2014) Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to respond to his concerns.Sincerely,*** ***
