I purchased a mobility scooter from them which has problems with power/torque in both fwd & rev which I have tried for months now to resolve directly with themInitially they seemed eager to help get the issues fixed but they wanted me to pay the local tech's service fee which I declined to do because my warranty states simply that they will repair or replace it at no cost to meI can provide a copy of my eBay sales receipt which states the complete warranty if you wishAt any rate after nearly months of no action on their part, I'm now filing a formal complaint against themThe issues are two-fold1st, the scooter does not have the advertised torque/power it's supposed to have & will barely back up at all & then for only a few feet even on a flat level surface with a rider who weighs only 135lbs2nd it's auto-braking feature is unsafe for anyone with hand strength & it does not apply the brake lights to warn others behind that the scooter is brakingI

I found this business on the internet while searching for a mobility scooter I called them and asked if I could come to their store front and look at their products They said "yes" When I got there and looked at their products I purchased two mobility scooters and one hitch mounted carrier to haul them on They delivered the two scooters to my home On the day of delivery they told me that the carrier was out of stock and would be delivered as soon as possible I have been waiting for almost two months and when I call Jeff, the salesman who runs the place, he refuses to talk to me and also will not send me a written receipt of my transaction I paid for my merchandise by credit card He will not send me a receipt and so far has cheated me out of the $that the carrier cost which he has still not delivered and I don't think he ever will It is my belief that he is trying to cheat me out of the $I was charged for the scooter carrier

Mr. [redacted] purchased our i36 mobility scooter on 1/18/17.  After using it for 3 weeks Mr. [redacted] called us to let us know he wished it would go faster in reverse.  We explained to him that his scooter is not designed to go fast in reverse for safety reasons.  Mr. [redacted] also wanted...

to know why he wasnt able to drive over objects in reverse. Mr. [redacted]'s scooter was operating as its supposed to operate and was having no issues.  For this reason, a service technician was not dispatched to his home.  Mr. [redacted] insisted that we send a service technician to his home. We offered Mr. [redacted] the option of having a service technician dispatched to his home as long as he was willing to pay the $150 up front service fee that is clearly spelled out on all of our warranty and service programs.  A copy of our warranty service work policies can be viewed here: https://chargedmobility.com/support/warranty/

Dear Revdex.com,I've read the reply from the business which is loaded with errors & in fact has only 1 fact correct. I DID purchase the scooter on 1/18/17, but I did NOT ride it for 3 weeks before contacting them. I contacted them on the day I received the scooter which arrived on Jan. 30th even though I had been told that shipping would only take 4 days. At any rate, I immediately contacted them with several concerns as soon as I uncrated it. It was supposed to be delivered fully charged & assembled & ready to ride. It was not. I attempted to back the scooter off of the pallet & it went only about 12" then stopped, so I pushed it off the pallet & immediately put it on the charger. While it was charging, I noticed another discrepancy in that the under seat storage compartment was not sealed & had a gap between the seat & the body where someone could reach a hand in & grab small items plus it was in no way sealed against the weather, so leaving the charger in there would expose it to the elements. Then after charging it for over 5 hours the charger light still did not show green for a full charge so as per the instructions in the manual I removed it from charging after 6 hours & continued the charging the next day for another 2 hours before the charger light then turned green indicating a full charge. I then took the scooter on a short ride around a few blocks & noticed yet another couple of problems.First it would only go about 13.5 mph when it is advertised to go 18 mph & secondly when returning from my ride & attempting to back the scooter from my driveway through the backyard gate & onto my rear patio, it stopped at the edge of the patio & would not power it's way over the 3/4" edge of the patio. I NEVER told them that I wished the scooter went faster in reverse, I told them that I wished it had more torque in reverse as it's supposed to be able to traverse a 25 degree grade, but it falied to even back up onto the 3/4" rise to the patio. They then offered to send a tech out to check it out but they wanted me to pay his service fee which I declined since the warranty which they supplied me in both their eBay listing & on my sales receipt says nothing about me paying for anything & in fact, says they will repair or replace it @ no cost to me. That warranty does not have any exclusions, or limitations as are listed in their current warranty which they supplied the link to in their message. My warranty is exactly as I have previously quoted to you which does not include any of those limitations or exclusions which leads me to believe that they will pay for everything including the local tech's service fee, parts & labor involved in the repair of my scooter.Next my local tech charges only $79.95 for his service fee not the $150.00 which they state in their resposne. Regardless they should pay his fee since my warranty states that they will repair or replace my scooter @ no cost to me & has no mention of any exclusions of anything including parts, labor, or service fees. Also, I questioned 2 things about the printed manual which I received with the scooter. First the manual stated the warranty was only 6 months but my receipt showed it was a 12 month warranty & the manual also had a discrepancy in the section on charging the batteries. In that the manual it said I should plug the charger into the scooter 1st then the wall outlet, but the charger itself has a sticker which says to plug it into the wall outlet 1st then the scooter 2nd. I was informed by them that indeed my warranty is for 12 months, and that the information on the charger label is correct so plug it into the wall 1st then the scooter. Anyway, throughout the months that I have now had the scooter, I have discovered that it will not back up more than 4-5 feet before stopping even when on a flat level surface with no obstructions, so it definitely has a problem going in reverse even when fully charged, so I'm not sure whether the problem is with the batteries, the motor, or both, but it has a problem & they need to send the local tech out to determine what is wrong & fix it. Let alone that I also inquired about getting a spare key since the scooter only came with 1 & they told me a spare would cost me $100.00 which is totally ridiculous since the key is not chipped or programmed such as those in newer automobiles.Regardless, they need to send the local tech out here to troubleshoot & repair my main problem which is the scooter's torque in reverse. Whether that requires replacing the motor or the batteries or both. Also I complained about the auto electromagnetic braking feature which throws the brakes full on when I release the throttle which does stop the scooter, but practically throws me over the handlebars and it does not turn on the brake lights when it automatically brakes which means that other traffic behind me on the road does not know I'm braking & this is a definite hazzard. They also requested that I provide them with videos of the problems which I did, but still they contend that there is nothing wrong with my scooter, and I even offered to pay the tech's service fee IF he finds nothing wrong with it when he comes but they  have yet to send the tech out here to diagnose & repair it. Of course, this says to me that they indeed KNOW that there is something wrong with it, probably the motor/transaxle, and they don't wish to spend what is necessary to fix it. I'm sorry but they shouldn't have sold me a scooter which had all these problems ie: a lemon, then provide me with a warranty which says they'll repair or replace it @ no cost to me. This is all their fault & the warranty which they provided to me upon purchase says they will repair it @ no cost to me which is what I expect them to do.Thanks,[redacted]
