did they submit a record of lien? this is andif it is posted, I may sue them for slander true about the sewer line, but their excavator was not licensed in Massillon and would not pay for the bond to connect the sewer, so they spent another week getting another excavating company to hook the sewer and water, who said there was no reason they could not have hooked up all the other lines except sewer He said sewer does not cross water line or electric or gas near house. My wife only sent a thank you note to [redacted] for giving us new address labels for the new address, there was never a glowing review as they state If they have one, let them attach it as proof Also, I suggested at Christmas time for them to get propane to heat house so they could continue, until gas line was connected, and they refused, stating it leaves a film(I think they mean keorsene) Then two months later they had me get a tank and heater. And as far as not being aware that we were not happy, they can go to every text and comment on the coconstruct website and see all the problems, and they said the same thing when they got the first survey I texted almost ervery day to john about the complaints and poor quality of work Regards, [redacted] ***

Re: Complaint ID[redacted]   Dear T[redacted]   In response to the customer’s reply to complaint [redacted], we are able to provide copies of the affidavit for mechanic’s lien by [redacted] against the customer and the release of said lien (documents attached).   In regard to the heating issues during the home construction, as stated in our previous reply, there were many factors that led to the delay in the gas lines being laid that were outside of Charis Homes’ sphere of influence. Using propane heat was truly the last resort, a fact that was explained to the homeowners by the Charis Homes project manager.   A review of messages and comments in our online customer portal do show some discontent on behalf of the homeowners, however, it also shows prompt response from Charis Homes’ staff and detailed explanations of the building process, construction progress and any delay in the construction of their home. This review also shows that any and all home warranty claims (submitted by the homeowners since taking possession of the home) have either been completed, are in the process of completion, or are scheduled to be addressed at the time of their 11-month warranty review.   Concerning the “thank you” card sent by the customer’s wife, it states: “Just wanted to say thank you for the personalized address labels. That was very kind of you to send them they will definitely be used! We are settling in and enjoying our new home very much! Many blessings to you!” A scan of the card has been included for review.   As agreed upon in our contract, Charis Homes has constructed a home that exceeds building codes than that of a standard home, is energy-efficient, and aesthetically sound. Since Charis Homes is currently addressing the homeowner’s warranty claims, it is unclear what further steps we need to take in order to provide the homeowner with a satisfactory resolution to the complaint submitted to the Revdex.com.   Regards,   The Charis Homes Team

July 18, 2016 Revdex.comCanton Regional and Greater West Virginia1434 Cleveland Avenue NWCanton, OH 44703Re: Complaint ID: [redacted]Dear [redacted]We have received notification of the complaint filed by [redacted] Mays on 7/3/2016. Our response to this complaint is detailed...

below. Construction on the home for [redacted] began on schedule but experienced several delays causing an extended construction timeline. Reasons for those delays include:·         Sewage line (dug by the homeowner-Mi[redacted]) failed City of Massillon inspection/testing on two occasions (11/3/15 and 11/19/15). Sewage line did not pass inspection until 12/1/15. Because of this the water and gas lines could not be laid until the sewage line passed all tests.·         Further delays occurred because of a lien place on the property by [redacted] (a contractor chosen by the homeowner) causing [redacted] to have to halt further work on the property until that issue was resolved. ·         A complaint to the PUCO was filed against [redacted] due to excessive failure to complete the gas line tie-in in a timely manner. Charis Homes’ staff aggressively pursued communication with [redacted] to get this issue resolved on behalf of the homeowner. Lack of heat in the home finally caused contractors to bring in a propane tank to resume construction. This was a last resort and was communicated to the homeowners in a timely manner. With regard to the quality of the home constructed for [redacted] the house passed energy testing and full inspection without any issues being notated.  The use of flat paint is documented in the Charis Homes’ general specifications and contract. As noted on the [redacted]s website, flat paint, “helps hide blemishes…cleans easily with a damp sponge…is ideal for adult bedroom, dining rooms, formal living rooms, and ceilings…” [redacted]  With regard to [redacted]’ complaint of false advertising of Revdex.com accreditation, Charis Homes is not a member of the Revdex.com. Also, we do not have any office signage, vehicle signage, website, or publication endorsements claiming membership or accreditation with the Revdex.com.As the [redacted] home construction is under warranty, Charis Homes would be happy to address any valid warranty issues submitted by the homeowners. This complaint has taken our company by surprise as we received a “thank you” note from [redacted] that included a glowing review of their home and our customer service.   Warm regards,Charis Homes Leadership Team
