we would be happy to be of assistance. First of all, I am not sure how you came to the figure of $600.00. The package only costs $399.00 + $49.00 for shipping ($448.00 total).
We always replace locations free of charge. That is what we would have told you if you would just...

call us or email me. We want you to be successful at this. Our telemarketers usually do an excellent job. No matter how good of a job they do, we cannot control the entire situation. There are so many variables. The location lists are designed to point you in the right direction. It is generally pretty easy to find homes for these vending displays. With the training in our “Quick Start” guide and a bit of effort on your part you should have everything you need to make things happen. The law of averages shows that you should have been getting better results. There may be something flawed in your approach? Have you been using our "Vending Placement Tips" card? You are also welcome to call or email us for some additional support, to fine tune your approach if necessary.
At any rate, let us know if you would like replacement locations.

Review: When I saw the print ad for Charity Vending's website, vendstart.com, I thought it looked like a low-cost, home-based business that would work. The sales rep, [redacted], sounded very enthusiastic and explained that the locations for the vending units were pre-selected by in-house telemarketers and that I only needed to secure a charity sponsor label package and then decide how often to check the route. When I got the list of accounts I rented a car and made my way around to each one, but soon became disappointed when the store managers claimed that they had not been contacted and denied permission to place. They stated that they were reluctant to bother because of theft issues with other vending owners and seemed pretty upset about the phoning issue. I soon realized that I had been scammed and decided to try to work it out. I sent an email to Charity Vending to [redacted] and he seemed very helpful in the text of the message. He wanted to work things out and offered me a replacement account list for the remaining fifteen of twenty five. As soon as I went to deliver to the first store, the boss there told me that they had not spoken to anyone by phone and were as upset as the first ones. This seemed like the same thing twice so I stopped the placements and just went home to decide what to do. The Revdex.com seemed like the best alternative.Desired Settlement: I simply would like a refund to my credit card for the original purchase price of $448.00 for 25 vending units. I know I can get more with time, mileage, and gas expenses that would be about $120 more but would be willing to settle for this amount. The only condition I have is to keep the cardboard units because I will need to remove the charity labels and get a refund from the National Children's Cancer Society.

Response:

[redacted] was sent 25 candy vending units, custom locations, instructions and supplies.

It is the same package that we have sold to hundreds of satisfied customers. He received a custom order, which is costly for us to create.

The locations provided are generated

from our telemarketers. They are hard workers and usually do a great job. Telemarketing is expensive. No

matter how good of a job they do, we cannot control the entire situation. There are so many variables. We have

no control over the way [redacted] presents himself, who is present when he arrives,

how they perceive him etc. Locations are under no obligation to say “Yes” when he

finally arrives. The location lists are designed to point in the right

direction. It is generally pretty easy to find homes for these vending

displays. Route drivers need to assume responsibility and do their part too. With the training in our “Quick Start”

guide and a bit of effort on [redacted]s part he should have everything you need

to make things happen.

We

pride ourselves on excellent telephone customer support if it is ever needed by

any of our customers. Available 7am to

7pm, Monday through Friday. We are here to assist all of our customers in every

way possible. We are dedicated to their success. [redacted] has had unlimited

access to our telephone support. We will also continue to replace locations if he would like.

It is our firm stance that [redacted]l was provided with

the supplies and services as he requested. We do not give refunds on used merchandise from a custom order.

Thank You,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[redacted] is stating plainly that his policy is to suggest locations, rather than what I was told, as on the website that locations were secured by their telemarketers. I wasn't supposed to struggle with or sell to any business owners. That was the deal, no fuss just placement and service. He also stated a custom order. He never really said anything about my order being any different from what is posted on the website regarding 25 units with guaranteed accounts, there is hardly anything custom about it. I think that [redacted] is on the run, hiding behind language instead of making sense. He did not provide what the website said they were offering. I want a refund or I will go to the press with my complaint in the form of his local TV news. This is false advertising!
