I had a bad experience with Charles Belcher. This dude is a BAD handy man. He is about 38-40+ years old and speaks southern accent and I believe he lives somewhere in Chapel Hill, NC or Carrboro, NC. Don't trust him and don't hire him to do any home improvement work. He doesn't have a general contractor license and doesn't have a valid business address so you can't go after him if there are issues. He's full of fradulent scheme. We hired him in Nov 2016 to work on our home improvement project. He screwed it up and never finish the project, took the deposit and never return.
STAY AWAY from Charles Belcher Construction. Unethical, dishonest and unlicense contractor. We hired him to work on our sunroom upgrade project on 12/08/2016. He only got about 30% of the work done and then ran away with my paid deposit to him. My project is now left unfinished over 3 months. I hope that other consumer see this review and rethink before hire this gentleman to do any home improvement.
I hired [redacted] to remodel my bathroom. The project has taken over 2 months to complete and it's still not done. He has had some health issues which I can understand, but that does not relieve him of the obligation to hire someone who can finished what he is unable to finish. There are numerous quality issues including poorly cut tile, grout and paint problems, electrical issues. His staff have damaged my floors and [redacted] doesn't appear to know how to fix them. He also put up walls that are not 90 degrees to the floor and so my shower doors are not completely even. His responsiveness to my concerns/complaints has become inconsistent and I won't hear from him for days at times.Product_Or_Service: Bathroom remodelDesired SettlementUnfortunately I paid him in full before the project was fully done. I either need all the items fixed in a timely manner (by the end of this week) to my satisfaction or a partial refund so I can hire someone to fix everything (amount to be determined by getting a quote from a handyman - I would approximate $2000).Info from consumerper consumer [redacted], the complaint has been resolved by the business
