just the check. I still would like my complaint to stand. I would not like this to happen to anyone else.Thank you,

I did meet with Mr [redacted] back in February to see what might be going on with his concerns about some rotting wood on the side of the house that he bought from the original customer that hired JV Roofing to replace the old standing seam roof and gutters. The original customer had no problems...
with the performance of the roof or the gutters and paid for the work in full. JV Roofing does extend their workmanship warranty from the original customer to whoever occupy the house over the workmanship warranty period. The old gutters that were on the house were 5" gutters, undersized, for a standing seam roof and JV Roofing installed new 6" gutters to handle the water volume a standing seam roof produces. Those old 5" gutters were way out of adjustment and dumping water up against the wood siding and was causing the wood to rot, there was never any kind of special flashing where the roof and gutter meet and according to my original customer the old gutters were causing the wood siding to rot and I agreed. Fast forward to February. I met with the current homeowner to go over his concerns and as a curtesy to him said I would fabricate a metal flashing to try and push water that was running behind the gutter into the gutter and have my gutter guy come out to check the slope of the gutter to make sure the gutter was draining properly but that the rotten wood was not included and not my responsibility this was communicated by text yesterday. The only item that is under JV Roofing & Gutters workmanship warranty is the question as to whether or not the gutters are working properly. In the text yesterday I agreed to have my guy come out on Wednesday the 3rd of may to install the flashing that was never there as a curtesy to my original customer this is not warranty work. I also agreed to have my gutter guy out to check the gutter this is warranty work. The rotten wood was preexisting and is not now or ever apart of my job scope. I will send my gutter guy out to check the run of gutters that are in question and if found to be out of adjustment will fix under the warranty. As for the flashing I'm withdrawing my offer to install. Sincerely [redacted], JV Roofing & Gutters.
