Review: Charles County Black & White Taxi provided me with a very disheartening experience. I called on March 7th to book an airport run for March 9th at 830am to DCA airport, which is about a 45minute drive from my house. My flight was at 11am. The gentleman I talked to said he would be the one that would pick me up and take me to the airport. I have used the service before and didnt have any problems, but this time was a complete disaster. At 8:30am on the agreed upon day, no call and no show. I call the company and the same gentleman tells me that someone else is coming to pick me up. He stated that he would try and contact the driver and call me right back. After about 13 minutes with no call back, I called again and he stated that he couldnt contact the driver and that he contacted the owner of the company. In the end, All of this conversation amounted to me NOT having a ride to the airport to catch my business flight to an out of town location and all I got from the gentleman on the phone was "I dont have anyone to take you."In the end, in order to make my flight, I had to pile my luggage into my vehicle and drive myself to the airport because getting someone else to do it early on a Sunday morning is next to impossible, believe me I tried. Now, I happened to be fortunate enough to have a working vehicle but what if I didnt?!?! Because of your company's failure to fulfill the verbal contract agreeing to take me to the airport constituted, I had to pay an unplanned expense of $98 for parking, and the additional expense of gas to and from the airport. Bottom line, I called your company two days in advance and your company representative and I agreed on a day, time and price however your company failed to deliver; costing me additional time, money, and added stress. Also, because of this breach in contract, I almost missed my flight. Telling me you have no one to take me isnt acceptable especially after we had a contractual agreement.Desired Settlement: You run a taxi service that advertises 24/7 availability so I was completely unprepared for the UNAVAILABILITY of your services. I feel disrespected and unappreciated as a customer and I feel that I should be compensated for my time, money and stress. I would suggest a free ride to and from any airport in the DC metro area and to be on time for both of them, that is the least you can do.
