Review: I contacted my HOA this spring and asked if I could bundle the removal of a tulip tree and stump grinding with anticipated tree work in the community. The HOA contacted Charles Jenkins Tree Service to have him perform some tree trimming in the community, and remove the tulip tree and grind the stump in my yard, while on the premises. The work was scheduled for Aug. 5 and 6. My tree was removed on Aug. 5 and [redacted] stated that he would work on the stump after completing the other tree work for the HOA on Aug. 6. He asked for the $400 payment the morning of Aug. 6. [redacted] completed the other work but did not grind the stump on Aug. 6. I called his cell # that night and [redacted] said he would be back on Aug. 8 as he did not have the equipment with him. The stump was not removed on Aug. 8 as promised. I called his cell Friday night and he said would be grind the stump on Aug. 11. I called on Monday and the voice mail box was full and by Monday afternoon the cell # was not in service. I left messages on the work number Aug. 11-12 and asked that the job be completed as promised or I would pursue recourse with the Revdex.com or other authorities. It has now been 2 weeks since the work was started and the stump remains. I want the stump ground down or a portion of the $400 returned to me.Desired Settlement: It has now been 2 weeks since the work was started and the stump remains.
