I am rejecting this response because:The response from MrM*** does not address the issue of Brown and Brown's resposibility to their customer. None of what MrM* *** has written in the response addrsses the issue of the money owed and he clearly does not have a clear understanding of the facts regarding what he has written in his respose. What he has written is not correct and is very misleading.I would like specific examples of what Brown and Brown as done to "help her resolve this claim".The claim that I and *** "could not cometo a settlement on the homeowners claim so they invoed their right for an appriaser." I have a letter from the *** office in Boomfield, dated March 2013, where our builder's estimate and their appraiser's estimate are within $1,or each other and we have in writing the amount that *** agreed to pay to rebuild or house. We were in agreeent as to the amount before we started buildng the house and *** has paid all but $16,for the house, or last contents replaceent list and $for removal of a tree.I never received any information from Brown and Brown or *** bout my claim being closed and I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT sign anything agreeing to a final payment or settlment of my claim. This is simply not true.Brown and Brown sold me insurance from a company that has not treated me fairly and honetly and now will not take any responsibility for their part in this. I well undestand that it is *** who owe us but we are very disappointed in the lack of concern and ethics in Brown and Brown.

January 24, 2017 To whom it may concern, In response to the complaint of ID [redacted] Brown & Brown has had several meetings and communication with the insured to help her resolve this claim with [redacted]. The insured and [redacted] could not come to a settlement on the...

homeowners claim so they invoked their right for an appraiser. Both [redacted] and the insured acquired its own attorney in an attempt to settle the claim. In March of 2016 the insured reached out to Brown & Brown stating that she had pulled a Clue Report and that her claim was closed. She was surprised and wanted more information. In speaking with [redacted], it acknowledged that the claim was closed due to signatures it had obtained from the insured for the final payment which was settled with the respective attorneys. [redacted] stated that it would be happy to speak with the insured about the claim settlement and respond to her questions through its attorney. Brown & Brown forwarded [redacted] attorney's contact information to the Insured so she may inquire with the attorney directly. In November the insured started to contact Brown & Brown Executives and the news media to complain about the $16,000 that she feels is still owed by [redacted]. When the insured was asked if she had contacted her attorney to get the details of the claim settlement she stated that she was no longer working with her attorney. Brown & Brown is an intermediary that assists its customers with the procurement of coverage. Claim decisions are reserved exclusively up to the insurer, [redacted] and Brown & Brown has no role or influence in those decisions. However, Brown & Brown has been in constant contact with the insured to help facilitate her communications with the insurer and find a resolution.
