If you want to be treated like a *** ***, Legends is for youThis negative review is based on their super aggressive and highly unprofessional collection tactics, as explained belowI'm giving them stars, instead of 1, because the work and price actually seem fine
Legends was hired by my warranty company to fix the garage door at our rental property in PhoenixThey told me that a certain part of the work would not be covered by my warranty and I assured them that if that was the case, I would payHowever, after reading my warranty contract, I believed the work should be covered and submitted a request for the warranty company to clarify
THREE business days after the work was done, I received a voicemail from Larry at Legends threatening to pursue "other options" (collections?) if my bill wasn't paidI called back, explained what was going on, and suggested that he respond to my warranty company's request for additional information since that's what they said they needed in order to answer my questionI assured him that he would get paid one way or the other and he seemed fine with everything
A few hours later I received a voicemail from Steve, saying that he was going to GO TO THE HOUSE AND REMOVE THE PARTS in question unless I paidI couldn't believe they would say this, but I decided to let it goI responded simply that I had already talked to Larry about it
A few hours after that I received a receipt showing that the bill had been paid by my wifeSteve had actually gotten her number from our renter and then called her with the same threats! Trying to be helpful, she paid without any idea what was going onI immediately called Larry to ask why he had processed the payment when he knew exactly what was going onHe said that she had agreed to pay and that this was a communication problem between me and my wife! At this point I lost it
Unfortunately, they have my money and there's nothing I can do about it other than share my experienceI was shocked to see that they don't have more negative reviewsHope this is helpful

The Legends Garage Doors has installed a replacement door lift mechanism on 4/5/After the installation, the door made a muted noise during its closingWe have attributed that issue to possibly needing to lubricate the door opener
When I had time in September of 2017, I have personally removed as much of old lubricant from the door opener track as possible and re-lubricated itThe noise persistedSince I'm not a garage door expert, it took me some time to understand what the problem wasIt appears that one of the door support cables is installed with different length than the other sideWhen the door is open, one side cable looses its tension and it hands looseWhen the door starts to close, the cable is snapped from this loose into an "under tension" position jerking the door, which makes that noise

Gene from Legends was amazingThe other guy they stmt never made it to the house, I waited hours on a SaturdayIt was the worstBut after rescheduling, and meeting Gene it made it all betterExcellent customer service, quick, efficient, and friendly

Great service in replacing my 15-year old opener, which quit I tried fixing the old opener myself by troubleshooting with the manufacturer, even ordering and installing parts, but no-go The Legends installer, Gene, looked at the old opener, quickly diagnosed a shot motor, and quoted a fair price for installation of a new LiftMaster 1/2hp WiFi opener, including new track, keypad, remotes, sensors, programming Gene also made a minor-but-needed repair of my garage door's bottom edge, informed me about a condition with the door's spring (replacement not required), and provided helpful answers with other questions I had Full service, indeed My good experience began when I called Legends late in the day, explained my situation (try to repair old opener; if not possible, then install new), and was booked immediately for service, which occurred next business day BTW, the manufacturer of my old opener was among those who recommended Legends

I had my doors installed with a liftmaster jack shaft by another company After a month the door would come down intermitantly and was unable to get the contractor out I called continuously with either they "would be out" or would not return my call After a month of this response I called LegendsAn appointment was made for 3:the next afternoon The technician, Arnie, arrived early at 1: He diagnosed the sand was able to determine the problem, which was inspecting the wires and finding several issues with the connectivity He completed the corrections and was finished at 2:Great service with a professional!!!!!!!
