project there were no complaints and upon completion they commented how happy they were with the finish projectThe fact that they allowed me to collect payment in full without a complaint goes a long way to suggest that nothing was not as agreed upon.Their complaint of not liking the ponding at the front yard came three days after the project was completed and paid for in full However, when they called I returned to the project site in an effort te be courteous and responsiveIt was then that the complaint was lodgedI mentioned to them that all during the project nothing was said about not liking the ponding areaAS a matter of fact, there were several changes made during the project that were not on the original design which we both agreed to and any additional charges were discussed and were paid in fullUpon learning of the complaint and after having plenty of time to have made the necessary changes and due to the amount of work involved I mentioned that now extra charges were need for compensationThere would have been considerable work and labor involvedThey did not did feel that should have to pay for any of the extra workPrevious to this, the ***’s were so pleased with my work that the sign advertising my services was actually move and placed right out in front of the property and to quote Mr***….”so that everyone could see who was doing such a fine job”! On that Monday morning when I responded to their call and mentioned the additional charges; Mr*** pulled the sign from the ground and threw it at my face and told me to “get the *** off his property”! By my returning to the site at their request I was responding in “good faith” yet his actions were completely unprofessional.What they have done to the landscape work that was fully approved and paid for is on their own and I should not have to pay for any of their expenses as they state in their complaintI trust that you will consider the fact that there are always TWO sides to any complaint and that in the fifty years I have been in business never once has anyone turned in a complaint to your office.Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.Respectfully,Andres G***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]This response is not satisfactory to me because the technician at Jerry Haag Motors ADMITTED that code had a prior history where it had just been cleared. I even made him repeat that statement. This confirms that the issue was apparent prior to our purchase of the vehicle and that is my problem with it. I understand that the vehicle was purchased "As is" but that "as is" meant that the vehicle did not have any underlying problems as we discussed with the salesman. I am not ignorant enough to believe that Jerry Haag Motors would actually write down that they simply "cleared codes" on the repair order because I'm sure that it is illegal. Also, I was never belligerent with the owner. He was extremely unprofessional over the phone before I ever even got upset and even then I never used foul language. The owner of that place is pretty unbelievable and I am still shocked by their dishonesty

This letter is in response to customer concern *** about a Lexus RX purchased on February 6, The vehicle was sold at a negotiated price of $5,plus tax, title and feesIt was clearly marked as an "As Warranty" pre-owned vehicleThe customer was aware of this and
signed a Buyer's Guide stating this as suchI have included that form with this letterA few days later, the customer contacted the salesperson to inform him that his Check Engine light was onThe salesperson reminded him that he purchased the vehicle As Is- No Warranty, but that we could scan the code for him free of chargeThe customer agreed and brought the vehicle into the service departmentOne of our service advisors plugged in a hand held scanner and performed a scan of the systemThe results showed a malfunctioning sensorThe service advisor explained to the customer that this indicated an issue with the heater and posed no danger to drivingHe then offered to make the customer an appointment to have the problem properly diagnosed by a certified technicianThe code was cleared and the customer was told he could call if the problem reoccurredThe customer did not make an appointmentThe next day, the customer called in and asked to speak with the owner, Steve HaagThe customer accused the dealership of clearing the code and hiding a problem with the vehicle prior to the saleMrHaag informed the customer that we properly service all pre-owned vehicles and this one was no exceptionWe changed the oil, installed new front rotors and brake pads and replaced the battery to prepare this vehicle for saleHad the check engine light been on, our technician would have been obligated to make a note on the Repair Order and fix the problemI have included the Repair Orders for this vehicle in this letter.The customer demanded that MrHaag have the dealership fix the vehicle at no charge to himMrHaag stood firm that the vehicle was purchased As Is- No Warranty and we would not be paying to fix the vehicleHe stated that it is a year old vehicle with 178,miles and that the customer shouldn't expect to think it is perfectThe customer became belligerent with MrHaag who then became non complacent with the customer throughout the remainder of the phone conversation.Please contact me directly at *** ** *** if you have questions or would like clarity on any of the information that I have provided.Sincerely,*** ***Customer Care Specialist Jerry Haag Motors, Inc
