I wish someone would explain to the business that the issue is not whether they made alternative offers to stay elsewhere after we checked in to their dump, its that the reservation that we made weeks before arriving was to stay for nights at the place that was shown on the websiteWhen we complained about this not being what we paid for, we should have been immediately refunded our money, as this was not what we reservedOn the website, we were shown a clean, functioning, fun and relaxing resort...WE GOT NONE OF THE ABOVE! What the management at the Sandwich Lodge and Resort did wasn't truthful, ethical, and borders on a downright scamPlease stop trying to justify what you did, which was deliberately lie to us, taking our money, and ruining our vacationWe are still waiting for our refund of $

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your stayI did offer a room change to you, one on the first floor near the pool and jacuzzi area and a change to a different hotel with a Jacuzzi roomYou said you would think about it but you never got back to meIn fact, you did not make any contact
with the desk until Wednesday when the fire alarm went offAt that time I believe apologies were made and 50% of your upgrade fee was refundedIf there was a fire the fire department would have not let us back in the buildingI would have been more than happy to have moved you from the day you arrived or during your stay had you made contact with us.You had said that you would post online reviews if I didn't give you a refund and this is the same response that I gave to you via the site you had booked through

Our reservation was made weeks prior to arrival on 5/29, solely based on the information offered on their website, as we had never stayed here before, not had any prior knowledge of the services being offered in return for our $There was no prior indication of a major renovation coinciding with our stayNot even at chedid they mention the deplorable, dangerous, and unhealthy conditions that were throughout the 2nd floor, where we were stayingWhen we went down to the front desk to complain, they offered to move our room (in the same mess), or change to another hotelneither of these options were acceptableOnce they refused to refund our $650, we felt compelled to convince someone, anyone to understand the moral principle of this rotten situation that was caused completely by the Sandwich LodgeTo us, it borders on a criminal act, as we were scammed out of our money and more importantly, our vacation, believing that we were reserving a quite relaxing vacation at a top notch resortNone of this happenedIt was loud, dirty, and literally a construction zoneDuring our stay, there was a fire emergency caused by equipment that the construction crew was using which caused the 2nd floor of the hotel to fill up with smokeAnd still, the management offered no refund, only a small discount of around $When reserving a hotel room, there is an expectation of comfort, cleanliness, and serviceWe got none of these, not to mention that the outdoor pool was closedI made no "threat" to the Sandwich Lodge, except to let them know that I would not stop complaining until I got my refund, because it is the right thing to do...and they know it.

Guest was offered several options that he said he would review and come back speak to me after dinner. Guest did not come to desk to speak to me. I also called the guest and explained the same that you had chosen to stay and that there was a discount given for the fire alarm going off, no further discounts will be given or applied. At this point the guest had already told the morning desk clerk that you would post bad reviews online. Guest decided to not except other options, therefore no refund or discount will be given.
