Review: This is more than an advertisement problem but it's the only selection that was close to what has happened. I purchased an engagement ring during a specific bridal event at the jeweler and they were providing gift certificates to be used on future purchases at different values related to how much you spent that weekend during the event. I spent between $2000 and $5000 which qualified me for a $300 gift certificate at the time of purchase to be used anytime in the future. Not to be used during the current transaction. The certificate, which I have in my hands, clearly says that I have a certificate for $300 along with the date issued and how much I spent to qualify for that $300. I attempted to use the certificate on a new purchase and the jeweler is not honoring the $300. They are instead trying to spin it by saying I need to spend another $2000 to $5000 to get the $300. It's a bait and switch. I spent the qualifying amount to get the $300 already during a previous event in which the certificate clearly states. While I was at the previous event, I made my purchase decision knowing I would have $300 to use in the future if I spent between $2000 and $5000 during that event. Now they are telling me I have to spend ANOTHER $2000 to $5000 to get the certificate which I ALREADY have.Desired Settlement: I would like to be re-embursed for the $300 I expected to use toward a new purchase which they are not honoring.
