Called and spoke directly to clientWe offered to reimburse $of her payment after her complaint was filed because she stated that she was elderly (91) and felt she was being taken advantage ofWe don't want ANYONE to feel we would do that "REGARDLESS" of their ageSo we offered to come back out and once again readjust her doorShe refusedCan I please state here that the original door and frame were very old and "ill fitting" to begin withShe wanted a brand new door ( which she did receive) but she didn't want new frame workShe insisted on installation of new door into old shoddy ill fitting frameAnd wanted it to fit as if newSo at "her request" we cut where neededPlaned and sanded to get this door "best we could" as explained to the clientThe door was able to shut when we left her propertyWe returned to do this on several occasionsOver and over repeating the process.Also would like to note that in the phone call to her she said she would SETTLE for no less than $and still refused to let us come backWe feel that everything was explained,then everything tried to appeas her to no availWe will no longer offer her the discount to her bill and will not be returningIf anyone who reads the complaints and replies from the Revdex.com would like to consider us for your needs..we provide references upon requestThank you,Charley's Handyman Services LLC

Mr [redacted] was up until recently A Satisfied repeat clientAnd yes we admit that there was some error on our part but by no means to the extent described in his complaintIf our workmanship was even remotely close in comparison to his description that it would be hard to believe he would ever have us do work for him on a repeated basisActually this issue came about when the client asked us to do additional extensive work on shower doors that were not in the original contractMr [redacted] said and agreed to pay the additional cost and his fiance got upset and said no that they would not pay added costIn the end what should have been a small issue of adhesive became a full-scale attack on our company by the Revdex.com on mr [redacted] partAnd we did install shower doors at no additional cost to the client and when we offered to come back for the issue in his complaint the client said he would let us make it right and afterwards refused to take our calls to come backWe know and have heard nothing until now about other companies working with mr [redacted] on our jobHad he kept his word and let us come back we feel mr [redacted] would not have to ask us for the Monies to pay someone else for something he did not need we are declining his refund of $2,Thank you Charlies Handyman Services LLC

I am rejecting this response because:Wow you really know how to make up stuffI have my contract we signed
right here and have pictures of before and after and what wasn't done and
completedI have proof of it all with dates on themMy paper states what you
were doing for the I paid to youThere was no mention of another contract
what so everI am trying to have my house fixed not out on of what needs to be
doneYou started on my inside wall firstwhen given the estimate you have on
my contract fix wall from leaksIt doesn't mean just scrape the wall itself and
throw some compound on it and not the problemThat makes no sinceIts common
since Why not repair something when it just comes back againI have the
before repair pictures and I pointed out to you that water needs to be stopped
from coming in so it needed fixed the day you were here giving me the estimate
Now your trying to turn it all around. You have on my estimate fix gutter and
that's Gutter with a S and you said it included that water that was coming
straight off my roof that water would hit straight down my house and that you
could fix that area at the time of the estimate to where it wouldn't come
straight down my house and now it built up and caused me to get a temp repairI
told you these side gutters needed fixedWhere do you get cleaned outMy paper
states fixed not cleanedYou never cleaned those side gutters anyways at that
as I didn't expect you to clean them just fix themThe small front of the house
gutter you put on and that's all you did gutter wise. Sump pump was completed
which is on my contract to be doneFlashing on my chimney stuff was just gooked
on around my old flashing in which I just had fixed due to it not being done
rightThat cost me and the contractor can state himself you didn't do it
rightAlso roof contractor can tell you my roof was not in horrible shape as
you state as you were not here to fix my whole roof only a repair so that water
wouldn't hit the side of my houseDidn't know you could roof a whole house
Plus another lie your stating that you told me about my roof when you didn't
tell me nothing about my roof at all and showed me nothing. You have in my
contract fix roof which was to put a board over that hole which isnt on my
shingle roof its the top of my house going up where the attic is where siding
wasYou put a piece of plyboard to cover the hole and I gave you a sample of my
siding to get the right color to match and you never even done itOn my
contract you have fix brick molding for my chimney which is called tuck pointing
and you never did that but your stating now that it wasn't done because I
wouldnt sign a contract for it to be done but its right here in my contract for
my estimate to be doneSo again you lie about some other contract you mention
when nothing was mentioned My contract says take down siding and fix you never
touched that and now your saying replaced, again in my contract it says take
down siding and fix which was never even done at allThe window you replaced I
laugh at among other people that has seen it as its not sealed properly outside
and you just put a cut 2xon the top of the window I already had here to make
up for the gap since it wasn't the right size window height wiseYou said you
was going to paint the board but never didDoesn't even match outside with the
way you did itThe board itself sticks out like a soar thumbIf only I could
post all the pictures I have of everything on hereYou told me you would be
back to finish the sanding inside wall area that you fixed and never did and
just left me with a messheck you even offered to paint with primer over the
dry wall you put on the ceiling but that wasn't in the contract and you did tell
me at first I would have to do that but did offer to do it just b/c the board
was facing greenI wasn't pressed about it though since I would of been
painting the living room anyways I hand did the black mold as I said I would
do so didn't have to worry about that and you were apposed to come back that
next day Friday to finish but never came so I called you and you said sorry cant
make it today that you would be here that Monday so I said so your going to
leave me with a open exposed wall all wknd with mold all in it Then you said
didn't you clean it out and I said yes but you cant get way back into the wall
to get the restSo you leave me all wknd exposed with black mold that
I cant reach in which I am sure you know mold spores go in the air being
exposed. Tell me since you say I expected more to be done to that wall and pay
more and that's why you didn't finish was b/c you wanted me to sign another
contract so why did you even do it in the first placeYou continued on the wall
and never said anything elseOther than saying its more than you expected right
before you started on itYou even tore down some of my ceiling all on your own
then put a piece of drywall on it. Again no other contract or other money was
said to me at allYou are lying to help cover your butt because you know what I
paid for was never completed or even done rightAs I have the proof right here
A lot of times you never showed up or even called. Once you did say you were
sorry about that once you knew I was not happy about it after complaining to one
of your workersTold you atleast have the respect as a paying client to inform
meHeck you came here to do the window and then said you forgot some tool to
take the old window out and said you would be right backI left my back gate
open and waited for hours then finally called you and you said oh sorry things
came up that you would be back the next dayThen I reallized the window was the
wrong size while you were gone then called to tell you and you said no its not
and glad you know more about windows than I do and I said no but I do know how
to measureThen later you called me back and said you were sorry that it could
be the wrong size as when you picked it up you didn't lookAnd this was waiting
weeks for you to even bring a window2nd window I refused as well b/c the
height was not high enoughThen later bring back that same window and said dont
worry it will fit for sureSo I just let you proceedOf course I had a feeling
of what you were going to do which was put a board on top to fill in the gap in
which I have a picture as well of the gap from when you first put the window in
at firstSo when a 2xfits that gap just right yeah you know it wasn't the
right height in the first placeAll you really did was rush some things just to
go to another job. Not saying you were trying to take advantage of me being a
woman through all of this mess but think you thought I was stupid when it comes
to these kind of thingsI even have a email from Don that referred me to you
saying you said you under estimated me and he said that you still have to
complete it what you estimated me for since that was the estimate you gave me
and paid for and not to worry that you would get it all done since it is in my
contractSo I trusted thatLooks like this is not going to be settled through
this Revdex.com so I will be taking further action as I have proof of everything that
you can not denyWill also have my witnesses there or even statements from them
which are true licensed contractorsEven my neighbor can vouch you were barely
hereI thought you would of made this right as its the fair thing to do but I
see you are doing some lying so my truth is my proof not just wordsWho wants
to go through this mess I know I dont but I am left with no choiceI have no
reason to lie about anythingI was paying for what you told me you would fix
simple as thatYou know I just bought this house and needed stuff done and was
going to have you do more later but your so called company is a flop and
couldn't even keep employees at least at that time and I would never recommend
youI thought hiring someone would want to show a good job of what they are
paying for to get more work later but wasn't in my case

We cannot accept the response from Charley’s Handyman LLC. Charley and his crew made egregious errors in materials selection and overall craftsmanship in the master bathroom remodel. Had we known that the quality of work was this poor from the outset, we would have sought out another company to complete the work. Personally, I do not think that Charley was intentionally doing poor quality work or deliberately trying to screw my wife and I out of nearly $5000. However, that does not excuse the fact that in comparison to our now completed tile shower, finished by a scrupulous craftsman and reputable company, the work that Charley did and materials he selected were indeed sub-par at best.Yes, my wife and I are repeat customers; Charley had completed a couple different projects in our basement the year prior, none of which included tile work, which we were happy with. That we do not doubt. However, in this case, we could not allow Charley to continue after the tile floor that he laid cracked and in turn, compromised the entire shower system After seeking advice from several contractors and tile professionals (reference the attached quotes), it was recommended that the shower be demolished and re-builtAmong many other thoughts, my wife and I were concerned that if he made this error, how much of the rest of the shower had he completed in the same fashion? Also, in reference to Charley's response, we reached out to him to inform him that we did not want him to fix the shower and that we would like to be reimbursed We tried several times to reached out to him but eventually Charley stopped answering our messages He made no attempt to come to an agreement or acceptable solution, leading up to filing a complaint with the Revdex.com We will certainly not use Charley’s Handyman LLCfor any future work in our home nor will I recommend that any homeowner utilize his services. Please advise on how we can move forward to pursue the $2,that my wife and I are owed in reimbursement. Thank you

we gave the client an estimate totaling $And yes, we do offer a lower rate when the client opts for our package dealAnd yes (at her suggestion) she did pay the full amount for "Work Contracted". The problem with her complaint is this : We completed the work she paid forThat
work is listed as follows:Installation of sump pumpCovering a hole in her sidingReplaced her front gutter,and the install of a new windowAlso replace flashing (chimney). The other work she refers to :tear out of chimney,no tuck n point , the sanding, everything she's stated we didn't finish or do is because she was wanting these items done without signing a contract or paying forHer roof is in horrible shapeWhen we told her and showed her....she wanted it done but not willing to pay for this serviceShe asked us to tear out her (portion of) chimney as proof of inside damage then didn't want to pay for that tear out and also wanted us to put it back and not pay for that repairWe did what was contracted and then left. And it is true that we have not communicated with the client for monthsWe were finishedWhy would we? I assume when she decided that she was ready and willing to pay for work to be done, she would call and be put on our schedule but only after signing an additional contract. Her "friend" that referred her to us has actually done business with our company for a very long time and we think quite highly of him. And recently has called us to schedule work on his homeWe told him about her complaint and his reply was "I thought she got a good deal for the amount of work she had done". What she neglects to state is the work that she ended up getting for free (as follows):-brand new 1/ceiling installation-cleaned all gutters with exception of front gutter which was replaced new. -partial chimney tear out. -foam prep(inside chimney)-sandingPlease keep in mind she states that we also neglected to replace her siding. Understand that there would be NO company that could do the amount of work she is complaining about for $1,4000.00. We DID the work that she contracted and paid forBut not the work we were not and would not be contracted or compensated for.
