I was renting a cabin where the cable was included and all I had to do was get a cable boxI set that up and everything was ok except for the constant cable outagesAfter years the owner sold the cottages and I had to leavemonths later I started getting calls asking me to pay an outrageous billI explained my situation to the representativeShe said that I was being billed for months of service when I was no longer thereShe stated that she would take care of everything and that all I had to do was thing on my part and that was itor weeks later I get another call from Charter from a different representativeThis one tells me that I still owe them money and that the last person did not do what she said she was going to doThis man wanted me to fax him proof from my landlord that I was not living there for the months being billed forSo that is what I did and my old landlord faxed it to the number provided right awayThen no wordNow, months later, I am receiving mail from a credit agency threatening to put this on my credit report for not paying a bill that was never mine! This business is full of broken promises and crooksThey should be accountable for their lies and misuse of the powers they haveWill never have Charter again even if it is offered free because in the end, time and money is what they will try to take from us
