*** Company Contact Phone: *** Company Contact Email: *** Consumer's Name: *** *** Revdex.com Staff Member (if you know): *** *** Complaint Information: This is my response written to The Connecticut Consumer Protection To whom it may concern, My response to this claim is as follows I performed a total bathroom remodel for *** *** in *** *** was completely happy with my work preformedAbout months later I was called back to the home to look at a crack that had delveloped inside the tubA manufacturers representative was sent out to the home to preform a job site assessment of the crackIt was determined that it was a defective tub by the tub manufacturerI provided an estimate for the repairs mostly labor and and an amount of $to cover the new tile needed for the jobI purchased the material back in May of so I would have the material when I was scheduled to do the repair workOn the day I arrived I was prepared with the tile in hand to do the work as scheduledUpon opening the new tub it was discovered another defective tub was delivered to *** ***Once we discussed what the new plan was I asked *** *** for a check of $to cover the tile costIt was between 4-weeks later that I received the check*** *** did not feel a sense of urgency to write a checkI also discovered that *** *** did not receive the funds from the tub manufacturer and they would pay him once all the work was completed those are not terms I work withI advised *** *** to hire a lawyer because his month old bathroom was going to have a different tile color from the new tiles because it was nearly months ago we ordered the original tileI was then asked to intervene to the tub manufacturer on ** *** behalfI am not a lawyer, just a home improvement contractorAfter having the whole week scheduled for *** ***’s job and counting on that income for the week and waiting nearly weeks for my $it was decided that I did not want to preform anymore work for ** ***I did not steal any money from *** *** or his hard working family as he statesHis tile is paid for collecting dust at the vendor locationI can provide dated receipts if needed

I am rejecting this response because: To whom this may concern        Those statements are not entirely true. Let me layout the timeline for everyone, and I have all emails stating this. I want to be clear on a few things; 1.       [redacted] said he will complete the tub repair and wanted to see this through.2.     [redacted] was well aware of the terms and the price Jacuzzi was going to pay. 3.       He did explain a chance of the lot variation in terms of the color, in which we understood that possibility. 4.       If R[redacted] could further explain “Intervene”, as I recall he asked to be present when the Jacuzzi representative came to inspect the tub5.       As a customer, I was asked to supply a check, in which I mailed out as he requested.   I continued to followed up with [redacted] for several months, I never received my tile I paid for.  The last communication he stated he had personal issues with his wife being in the hospital- so we continued to wait patiently as we understood.  That was the very last response.   As [redacted] stated below he decided at some point he does not work under these terms (after agreeing), and no longer wanted the job- he just never told us. That said, we urgently needed to hire a contractor who ordered the tile and completed the job in a fraction of the time and money.  At this point, Needless to say, I simply want  my money returned.Since last communication in July, I have reached out numerous times. I urgently moved on and got a new contractor who now has completed the job, so I don’t need the tile. What I now want and think is only fair is my $275.00 reimbursement. If the contractor would of told me where and who the vendor is I could of picked it up, but now that the job is done I want my money back and if I don’t get it, then yes I would consider this as he stole my money, because I paid for the tile and never received it nor I was given my check back. This is a fair assessment, so if he pays me my money we both can go our separate ways.If you want to see all these emails then please let me know and I will be happy to attach.Timeline of emails ·         11-3-2016 Jacuzzi agreed to pay $2575.00 and I told this to [redacted]·         5-15-2017 Robert sent email asking me to send check to his home.·         5-24-2017 I sent email stating its going out next day 5-25-2017. ·         5-31-2017 we picked out the new model tub that Jacuzzi had offered instead of our current model that is cracked and the second tub that came in cracked as well.·         6-5-2017 I sent Jacuzzi email with Quote from Contractor on the cost for repairing the Tub which [redacted] cost was &7746.00·         6-12-2017 Jacuzzi sent email stating Tub has not shipped yet. They wanted to make sure there were no issues, so delay was at Jacuzzi·         6-29-2017 I received the 3rd tub ·         7-28-2017 [redacted]t sent email stating if things go good I will contact you tomorrow morning. This was the last communication and haven’t heard from him since!! Sincerely,
