I used Chattahoochee Garage door to replace my garage door about 1/years ago and had a positive experience So, when it was time to replace the motor, naturally I called them to use their business again
They came out on Monday January 19, and replaced the motor for my garage On Thursday January 21st the system malfunctioned somehow and would not close automatically The panel box (not sure if that is the correct term) kept saying that the sensors were blocked I could not find anything blocking the sensors so I called Chattahoochee garage door at 8:p.m I knew they would not be there but left a message with the expectation I would receive a call back on Friday That call is logged in my cell phone as lasting minute I left a pretty lengthy message trying to describe the issue as best I could Late Friday afternoon I tried calling again and got a message that their voice mail box was full
Having not received a call back and the mail box now being full, I got a little nervous about having paid over $for something that malfunctioned so quickly
On Saturday morning the garage door completely fell apart This made me too nervous for comfort so I placed a stop payment on the check that I had written for payment The stop payment was placed on Saturday afternoon sometime past 1:p.m
On Monday around 11:00a.m., I got a call from Barry at Chattahoochee Garage door saying he would send someone out to look at the door When I got home Monday evening it was fixed
On Thursday around 11:a.m., I got a call from Barry again about the check having had a stop payment placed on it I explained to him that I put the stop payment on when I didn't hear back from them on Friday and couldn't leave them a voice mail because their mailbox was full I told him I had requested the stop payment be removed but that the check must have already tried to clear and that I would get him another check
Without so much as an apology for my having to call them back out to fix the garage door or the inconvenience of having to go the weekend with no garage door etc...He informed me someone needed to pay the stop payment fee He accused me of not having tried to call on Thursday saying he did not get message from me and accused me of being a "scammer" for placing a stop payment on my check He NEVER apologized for the issues with the garage door or the inconvenience I as the customer experienced He just kept telling me he "needed a check today" I am BLOWN away by this Completely BLOWN away I have a friend that is in need of a new garage door and made sure she knows not to call Chattahoochee Valley Very poor customer service When I told Barry I would put him a check in the mail he said if he didn't receive it by Friday he would start legal proceedings NEVER did he apologize for the garage door falling apart or having issues Not once did he acknowledge any inconvenience to me He called me and accused me of not trying to contact them until Saturday which is untrue and of being "scammer" because I placed a stop payment on the check
