Application process falsely indicate that an eviction is on credit report. Leasing officer Edward B refuses to refund deposit.
I submitted an application online 3/4/2019 for a 4bedroom at *** apartments located at *** Dallas, TX XXXXX. I spoke to Edward B in regards to my application. He informed me of the rental requirements to be approved for an apartment. He said as long as you have good rental history, no felonies, and make 3 times the rent you will be approved. I paid the application fees and put 400 down on the apartment. Two days later I was informed that I was declined for the apartment because I had an eviction. I pulled my credit report and I DON'T HAVE ANY EVICTIONS. I sent Edward B a copy of my credit report 3/6/2019 through email, and went to the leasing office to retrieve my deposit of 400 dollars back. He then went on to say that he couldn't give my deposit back because he sent everything off to corporate for a final decision. It is 3/12/2019 and I have not heard from the leasing officer Edward B,the apartments (***), or corporate (Chaucer Management Services) and I'm not able to reach anyone when I call. I believe that the leasing officer Edward B is possibly falsifying documents and denying applicants to pocket deposits.
