I used the Revdex.com website to find a computer repair company when I had a problem with my home PC...The A+ rating that Cheaper Than A Geek has earned doesn't do the company justice! *** was the technician that worked on my PC and found it to be malware infested...After getting rid of all the malware and the damage they had done to the OS, we determined the PC would need a complete OS reinstall A nightmare? Hardly...*** kept me informed of the status of my PC repair and although the work was more involved than originally anticipated the cost of the repair never increased Customer service at it's best!!! BL: I can't say enough good things about *** or Cheaper Than A Geek...I will definitely use them for any future computer issues my family experiences...Thanks for the great job!!
I am writing this review and commendation for Cheaper Than a Geek because they came to my rescue after I made a very foolish move in getting scammed by an online threatening pop-up, demanding that I either call the number listed or I was in jeopardy of having my computer crash at any moment. I had been receiving these threatening/warning pop-ups for many weeks/months, and I was just tired of having to reboot continuously to continue using my computer. I foolishly called the number listed in the pop-up, signed up for network access protection to the tune of $248, and I gave my credit card to this fraudulent company. Big mistake! While the so-called work was being done, I decided to check with the Revdex.com, and I found that the company had an F rating, and was not accredited by the Revdex.com. I immediately stopped the work being done online, stopped my credit card charge, and had to go through the problem of having a new credit card issued and getting my refund. I found Cheaper Than a Geek with the help of my co-worker, and within minutes, I was told that the problems (viruses/trojans, etc.) could be located and erased without my having to bring my computer to them. They could fix the problem while my computer stayed in my home. Chris [redacted], my hero, performed the necessary cleanup of my computer in less time than he had originally promised, and I want to thank him and Cheaper Than a Geek for being there to come to my rescue. Thank you, thank you. You deserve many kudos.
