Review: Wondering how title loan business can grant a loan with out proper credit check or issuing a loan to a person with poor credit AND no job. Also when trying to find out information regarding the details the employee lies about the details that are very important saying the loan has 2 weeks before the next payment is due and the truck in which the loan was granted is actually delinquent and out for repossession, the employee also said this vehicle was not out for repo.Desired Settlement: Would feel that this loan should be paid with out the ridiculous interest due to the fact that this business is taking advantage of people in serious situations. It is wrong and should be illegal to take advantage of consumers in this matter. People with poor credit and no job should never receive a loan

Mr. [redacted] opened his account with Check into Cash on March 21, 2014, after his employment and proof of income were verified. Mr. [redacted] continued with his acoount until he requested a refinance, at wich time his employment was re-verified. On May 27, 2014 Mr. [redacted] called us from a competitor requesting his payoff amount, which was quoted. On May 30, 2014 his father called us letting us know that he had taken the vehicle back from his son and that a separate business would be contacting us onMonday june 2, 2014 to get the payoff. They did call and we quoted the current pay off. No one has been in and no other contact has been made. I am rejecting this response because:at the time of the loan in March I was not actively working I was actually on a Leave of Absence and my credit history if checked is very poor. On the day I called from a competitor I was on speaker phone and gave authorization for Check into cash to give me the payoff amount which was quoted along with the next due date which was told I still had two weeks to pay. I also asked if my truck was in the process of repossession and was told on speaker that it was not. I can get statements from others who were present at the time of this conversation to state that I was lied to. I also feel this was a misinformed loan and had a proper credit check been done this loan would have not been approved. I had no other choice but to sell my truck to pay the huge interest accrued on this loan or have the truck repossessed and sold at auction for a much lower price and still had to repay the remainder of the loan not collected. I feel this is a predatory loan and however stupid I was for doing it, this should not have happened

Review: On 12/17/2014 I obtained a loan for $25.00, and was aware of the interest rate @131.42%. I signed the contract and I was shocked to see that the minimum payment had doubled the amount. I had never been late on a payment and the only reason I was late after Dec 2013 was because of the drastic amount increase. Now, my car got towed for no payment, when I wasn't aware the payment balance would increase without notice.Desired Settlement: To please explain how the minimum balance increased by nearly $300 and then $500 in march. I just want my vehicle Back and to go back to my original payment plan.

Dear Sir or Madam: Check into Cash of California, Inc. ("Check into Cash") has received correspondence regarding the case number referenced above. Check into Cash takes all complaints seriously, fully investigates such matters, and appreciates the opportunity to respond. The customer executed a Consumer Installment Loan Agreement (hereinafter, “Agreement”) on 15 November 2013 with a Total of Payments of $10,279.60 with Check into Cash. The loan was secured by his motor vehicle. According to the Agreement, interest on this loan is calculated on a daily basis and accumulates until the balance is paid in full. The interest rate and its method of accumulation on this loan were clearly communicated to the customer in writing in the Agreement, and the customer agreed these terms. The customer had an installment due date on 23 April 2014 pursuant to the Agreement. The customer failed to pay the installment in full on this day and defaulted on the loan. The following month, the customer had an installment due date on 23 May 2014. The customer again failed to pay the full amount owed on this day. The customer’s installment payment amount did not increase in any month. Rather, because the customer made partial payment in April 2014, interest on the remainder of this installment payment continued to accumulate. To become current on his loan, the amount due on the following month included May’s installment payment in addition to the remainder of the previous month’s installment plus interest. Because the customer failed to become current, the customer’s motor vehicle was repossessed on 18 June 2014. Since the customer’s vehicle was repossessed, Check into Cash has voluntarily extended his right to redeem the vehicle before sale until 8 August 2014. Again, Check into Cash appreciates the opportunity to respond to the allegations in the complaint. Thank you. Sincerely, [redacted] Associate General Counsel Check into Cash of California, Inc.
