August 24, RE: Response to complaint from *** *** Every student that enrolls at Check Ride Driver Training is required to thoroughly read and sign a training agreement that is required and approved by the State of Washington Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board, and each
student receives a copy of the agreement at the time of signingIn addition, before signing the agreement we answer any questions the student might have and do not pressure anyone to sign the agreementWe are totally open and honest with our students and likewise expect that our students are honest with usUnfortunately, after reading the complaint that Mr*** allegedly claims the school has committed against him it is obvious that Mr*** has either forgotten what legally binding information is in the contract or is untruthful about the circumstances that lead to his complaintIt is also apparent to us that Mr*** has made some financial choices in his personal life that he is unwilling to take responsibility for, and instead is attempting to deceptively acquire a financial settlement from Check Ride Driver TrainingFurthermore, we can provide solid evidence that directly counter the accusations Mr*** has filed against our schoolFollowing below is an accurate log of the events that transpired concerning the enrollment of Mr***: *** *** came in on June 24th to enroll for the July 5th classAt that time Mr*** read and signed the enrollment agreement and required contract attachmentAt this time he also made the minimum tuition down payment of $and received the prerequisites that are required before the first day of classOn the first day of class Mr*** was to have completed all of the prerequisites and make the first tuition payment of $At this time Mr*** claimed he had an unexpected expense come up and could not make the payment so we agreed to extend his payment due date to Friday July 8thHowever, on that payment due date, Mr*** apologetically told us that he only had $of the tuition payment but promised to pay the remaining balance on Monday July 11th when he paid the second required tuition paymentUnfortunately, Mr*** never showed up at the office on July 11th to make the required payment even though he was attending class on the campusOn July 12th he did not show up for class but we later received a phone call from Mr*** stating that he had a family emergency and would not be able to attend class that dayOn July 13th Mr*** walked into the Check Ride office and informed us that he would need to dropout until further notice because of family issues and financial problems (apparently hoping to re-enroll at a later date)At this time we explained to Mr*** that as written in section D-of the contract that he signed he was required to give us written notice that he wants to discontinue his enrollment at Check Ride Driver TrainingAlso, per the contract it is clearly confirmed that Mr*** has a balance due to Check Ride Driver Training in the amount of $1,It’s a disgrace to us that Mr*** chose to submit his inaccurate complaint with the hopes of financial reimbursement, and at the same time, attempt to discredit the excellent (year) reputation of the schoolI would strongly suggest that Mr*** reread his contract and recheck the dates he attended the schoolUnfortunately at this point we have no choice but to send Mr***’s remaining balance owed to collectionsRespectively submitted by, Jeff S***, President, Check Ride Driver Training Services
