Dear ***, We appreciate you working with us to resolve this complaintA strong, positive reputation in the community is invaluable to the success of our dealershipWe work very hard to protect thatOur written response includes the following items:1. *** *** was hired as a service tech 6-23-and terminated with cause on 8-1-2. While changing the oil on a customer's vehicle, he stripped the oil plug that retains the oil for the engineWithout telling anyone, he processed it as completedWith the threads being stripped, the plug would have given way and the engine would have been destroyed3. A few weeks before termination, he came to the dealership in a new truck he was test driving from another dealershipA non- management employee told Mr*** he should have our dealership give him a quoteaWe did not tell Mr*** he would be fired since he did not buy from our dealershipOur dealership has an employee purchase program where employees receive discounted employee pricing on vehiclesa. Generally, it makes sense for them to utilize it and it is a strong benefit for themb. We do not encourage (and certainly do not demand) employees to buy vehicles from usWe generally make more money from the non-employee buyerMr*** returned the vehicle to the other dealership (causing that dealer financial hardship) and bought one from our dealershipTwo weeks later he was terminated with causeMr*** has driven the vehicle beyond a return period, however we would be willing to help him by purchasing the vehicle from him in accordance with our purchase policies based on our vehicle appraiser's estimate of the vehicle's current valueShould you have any questions or need additional information, please call*** *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: I did not strip any drain plug. When vehicle was brought in it had a worn seal on drain plug I requested a new plug and was told to drain and refill the vehicle I was notgiven anew drain plug but rather given the old plug back and told to fill tbe vehicle up with oil and inspect for leak. Inspection was done for 15 minutes no leaks were found so I responded to supervisor telling him the task had been completed.  But I am willing to sell vehicle back to this dealer at $16,000.00 due to short ownership
