I am rejecting this response because:
The content that they provided regarding certificates is not accurateThe copies that they provided were not the originals . We received credit card sized gift cards, they were in the amount of $each We sent them back to Checkers because they were expired and Checkers admittedly to throwing out the gift cards.

June 14, 2017Dear *** ***:Thank you for the follow-up.I am one of the owners of Checkers Bistro and after reviewing this with our General Manager, Masami K***; I feel there is an unfortunate misunderstanding of the facts.As I understand it a representative of *** *** *** purchased $1,worth of gift cards inDecember of At the time of the purchase and as a gesture of our gratefulness and hospitality, our General Manager offered and issued $gift certificates (not gift cards) as a gracious thank you for their purchase of the $1,of gift cardsThis was done because they indicated the gift certificates were not for self-consumption, but rather were being distributed to their referral sources.We issued these gift certificates unsolicited and free of chargeFor you and the client’s reference, I amenclosing copies of these gift certificatesIt is very clear that these three (3) gift certificates are not gift cards and were the items issued to *** and subsequently returned to us unused by ***It is myunderstanding that we also advised the clients representative of this at the time the gift cards werepurchasedAll of the gift cards were redeemed and again, no gift cards were ever turned back in to us unusedAdditionally, our gift cards do NOT expire, so that would not and could not be the issue.Gift cards are prepaid stored-value money cards we issue to be used as an alternative to cash or credit at our restaurant, while gift certificates are complimentary promotional vouchers issued for a specified cash value exchangeable for goods at our restaurantThe gift certificates that were issued, were not paid for, are different from our gift cards, were explained to the customer at the time they were issued and clearly have an issue and expiration date on them.We are only aware of $gift certificates, totaling $in value, and they are in fact ALL issued with expiration dates, as they are promotional and issued free of charge, just as they were done in this instance. I believe the customer is confusing the gift cards they purchased and the complimentary gift certificates we graciously issuedTherefore, we are aware of any unredeemed gift cards and the $they are seeking is not valid.We deeply regret this confusion and we greatly value all our guests, and we are willing to reissue a $gift certificate with a new 6-month expiration and would welcome this valued guest to visit us again and enjoy a wonderful evening with us. So this incident is very uncharacteristicfor us and very unsettling.I believe the customer in this situation has been a satisfied guest of ours in the past and did in factpurchase $1,006 worth of gift cards in December of 2015, for which we were very grateful. At the timeof purchase and as a gesture of our gratefulness and hospitality, we offered and issued 3 $50.00 giftcertificates (not gift cards) as a gracious thank you for their purchase of the $1,000 of gift cardsbecause they indicated they were not for self consumption, but rather were going to distribute them to their referral sources. We issued these gift certificates unsolicited and without charge. For yourreference, l have enciosed copies of these 3 certificates. We also advised the client of this at the timeof their gift card purchase.Gift cards are prepaid stored-value money cards we issue to be used as an alternative to cash or creditat our restaurant, while gift certificates are promotional vouchers given as a present that isexchangeable for a specified cash value of goods or services at our restaurant. Our purchased giftcards do not expire and therefore the $1,000 worth of gift cards that were purchased were always validand I believe have all been fully redeemed.
