Review: In June of 2011, CheckGateway terminated their provision of services to our company. They advised us that they would be keeping our initial $500 security deposit, plus $518 in processed funds that belonged to us for a period of two years. Thus, we would need to wait until June of 2013 to receive the refund of our $1018, which is our money held in trust by them. I started calling them in the first week of June regarding the return of our $1018, and I called their office weekly up until today (July 9, 2013) asking to speak to key executives regarding the return of our money. Never once would any of their key executives take our calls nor return our calls. Today, we found the CEO's home phone number and I called it asking to speak with him. His wife asked for details as to why I was calling, and I advised I needed to speak with him in person before I contacted my lawyer in this regard. My secretary then called their office again and finally after 6 weeks of phone calls, he took the call .. only to tell me "Go ahead call a lawyer .. peace off" and then he hung the phone up on me. Clearly they have been avoiding our calls, They won't return our $1018, and this is totally unfair business practice. it is unacceptable and other potential future clients need to be aware that this company is fast lock up client deposits for two years, but when the two years pass, the funds are nailed to the floor and the company won't communicate.Desired Settlement: They need to cut us a bank money order for the return of our $1018.

[redacted] and Check Gateway have a contractual dispute and a dispute over funds he alleges we owe him. At this time we do not show we owe him any funds. In addition, Mr. [redacted] has threatened legal action in the form of a law suit. At this point, since he has mentioned legal remedies, we can no longer entertain Revdex.com remedies. Mr. [redacted] disagrees with our position and has every right to pursue his claim though the legal channels. We look forward to hearing from his legal team to discuss the future law suit. This is a contractual and legal dispute between two parties at this point. Please consider this matter resolved regarding the Revdex.com involvement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As I am in [redacted], and CheckGateway is in Phoenix, Arizona, I have determined that it will not make financial sense for me to pursue this matter via small claims court. With airline ticket costs, hotels and meals to pursue small claims court I can see that would not make sense, so really a Revdex.com complaint is my only avenue to address this matter.CheckGateway is a business and I was their customer. And I am an extremely unhappy customer. Attached is the service termination letter I received from CheckGateway dated June 28, 2011, which states "we may retain unsettled funds for a period of 2 calendar years from this date". Also attached is my account print out from June of 2011, which shows they were continuing to hold in reserve our final client payment received in the amount of $518.44. Although not mentioned in their letter of June 28, 2011, we also paid CheckGateway an account security deposit of $500 at the time our account was opened in late May of 2010, a copy of the letter and bank draft is also attached herewith.We waited for the two years to pass, and in June 2013, numerous attempts were made to contact CheckGateway by telephone to recover the $518.44 and our $500 deposit. Not once would anyone beyond the receptionist take my call.It is very clear to me that CheckGateway have conducted themselves in a shoddy manner.They realize full well they owe me the return of my $500 security deposit plus the final $518.44 payment held in reserve. But as a matter of policy this company simply ignores requests such as mine, expecting nobody to pursue the matter fully given the high costs of legal action versus the relatively lesser amount of the money owed.This is unscrupulous business practice. And unless CheckGateway communicates with me in a professional manner and demonstrates that they have returned my funds, then this complaints stands. As other potential customers need to be aware that this company is plain and simply downright dishonest.Regards,[redacted]
