Washer is broken, replacement also brokenI bought a Washer and Dryer from this business. Although the dryer works, the washer was defective and flooded my apartment the first week I had it home. Now the replacement washer also flooded my apartment, even worse. The tenant down below has incurred water damage. I was told that I was after the thirty day warrantee, but I wasn't told this when they delivered the replacement washer. An employee or owner stopped by to look at the replacement washer, and said no one checked the hose attachment. It seemed significantly dirty, and he said was probably like that when it left their store. Desired SettlementI would like a refund so I can buy a new washer/dryer as I do not want my apartment flooded for a third time.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] GMContact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted].comDear Revdex.com Representative, First of all, thank you for all the work you do to make sure businesses are doing the right thing all the time. You will find with the evidence presented to you here that we have done exactly that. Mrs. [redacted] made a purchase of pre-owned washer and dryer set on 2/21/2014 and it was delivered to her. This was a [redacted] Set. Everything that we sell, we back with a 30 day warranty and a lifetime service plan. Perhaps, reading here would provide more clarity [redacted]That being said, she was correct. We delivered her the washing machine and dryer on 2/23/2014 and there was an issue. The washing machine leaked in her laundry room. She called us on the morning of 2/26/2014 in a state of panic. We sent over 2 owners and 1 employee to her home immediately and cleaned up the water in the laundry room. We made a mistake and sent over the wrong washer, which was a customer repair and it had a cracked barrel. (We have over 300 machines in stock) this was a pure accident. As an acceptable resolution we refunded Mrs. [redacted] in the amount of $227.00 which was more than 100% of the purchase price of the washing machine. Even though we refunded her the cost of the whole machine, we sent her a free one as an apology for the mistake we had made. She then called us on 6/16/2014 and told us that her machine is flooding the area in the laundry room again. We post our warranty and service plan on the receipt that she signed as well. We ran to her house within 2 hours and made sure things were okay, although it was 3 months outside the warranty. We cancelled three other service calls that day to take care of this situation. When we arrived the hose was clogged, this a wear and tear item prone to ** washing machines and there was a buildup in the hose, we proceeded to fix the issue at no cost to Mrs. [redacted] and the machine works perfectly fine. She seemed happy at the time, but was threatening to call the Revdex.com and make sure we paid for this. Even though it was a "Free Washer"I am unsure of how much more diligent we can be with our customers, we have sold 1000s of machines and have had no problems at all. Furthermore, we sell used appliances, which are wear and tear items from the start, we cannot guarantee that things will not happen, but when they do we are on top of it immediately as we were in this case. She also states that the dryer is working fine but requests a refund anyway. We will not be issuing her a refund at this time, as she has had a quality product since the beginning and a free washing machine that was clogged from usage the last few months. I am attaching the original bill of sale with her signature and a copy of a processed refund check of $227.00 processed on 2/27/2014. I actually feel, that Mrs. [redacted] owes the company a $50 service call fee for her negligence in this matter. I will not be pursuing that, but if more harassment is incurred by Checklist Appliances, we will be filing charges with the local police department. Thank you for your time,[redacted]General Manger Checklist AppliancesScreenshot of Check Processed by Mrs. [redacted]Screenshot or original Bill of Sale [redacted]Consumer Response First off, I have not had the replacement washer for very long. They put an unmatched washer in there first, and then gave me the match for the ** Washer. When the gentleman came over this week, he was obnoxious over the phone and even apologized about the way HE spoke to me. He also told me the hose, which seemed apparently dirty for months ahead of time, mentioned it was most likely clogged when the washer left the store. I find it funny by opening a claim with you, that I am harrassing them. I was not given any paperwork when this ** washer was given to me, as a replacement item. Even though they did refund half of the money for the set, I would like to be refunded the rest of the money spent. They can take their matching set back, and I will purchase a product from another company. Due to the two leaks, they never gave me any money towards the damage to my personal belongings and apartment. The leak occured not only in the laundry room, but also my kitchen. I think it is unacceptable to sell two washers, that both flooded my apartment (whatever the reason may be). I think its unfair that a company would let this happen twice, and only offer half the money back I paid on a washer/dryer set.
