To Whom it May Concern,We are in receipt of the complaint filed by a "potential" customer.  My name is Shannon P[redacted], I am the...

Office Manager for Checkpoint Auto Sales. I am also the "lady who answered the phone" (in regards to the customer wording) I would like to address a few issues brought up by this person:1.) Customer did in fact sign a "Bill of Sale" - thus indicating intentions to proceed with the purchase of the vehicle.2.) Customer did in fact also place a deposit of $500.00 with our business, as a "good faith" effort toward the financing of the vehicle, and a common practice in vehicle financing.3.) Customer did in fact purchase Insurance for the vehicle, a requirement of financing. All of the above point directly to the customer "committing to a sale"4.) I did in fact tell the customer on the phone that I was not an authorized signer of the business banking /checking accounts and there by would be unable to effect a refund in the amount of her deposit.  The Owners of the business were in fact out of town and returned to the office on that date (being June 14th 2016)I did in NO way indicate to her the refund of her deposit would not happen. I did state that refunds of deposits are at the sole discretion of the Owners of the business. I completely refute the customers statement "she got an attitude about my questions" , In fact there happened to be 4 people in my office at the time of this phone call, I will be happy to garner witness statements as to my "attitude" with this customer on the phone.I cannot be held responsible for the fact that this customer either was not listening to the answer I clearly gave her on the phone, or the fact that she continued to ask the same question repeatedly- I did ask her; after she asked me the same question 2 times, and I answered her the exact same way 2 times- How I could make my self clearer in my response?  5.) It comes as a complete shock, how little understanding this person has as to the operating procedures of a business. We are in no way required to carry any certain amount of cash on hand in our office. Additionally we are in no way required to disclose such information. In closing, upon the return of the business Owners, a check in the full amount of $500 was written in the name of her husband Eric Pickup, per her request- as she stated she would be sending him to retrieve the check. In addition the Owner called them directly after writing the check to let them know it was available, she told them directly that someone would be in Thursday morning (6/16/16) to pick it up.In light of this information I would formally request this matter be immediately closed and wiped from our company standing- due to the fact that this customer has made a FALSE CLAIM ABOUT OUR COMPANY!!!!! Best regards,Shannon P[redacted]Office Manager.-- CHECKPOINT AUTO ###-###-####FX. ###-###-####
