I recently went Chef auto Repair Services for an Oil change and they told me my radiator needed to be flushed and it would take two visits to complete the job. Each visit would cost $150.00 totaling $300.00. I knew that was ridiculously over priced being that I have a 2002 Jeep and I was told it would cost 85.00 by Speedy Oil change a month before. I ended up taking my car to a regular mechanic and I brought in my own coolant/antifreeze and he only charged me 45.00 to flush the radiator. Please do your homework before dealing with these people they try to get over on women.
Review: For the three months I been driving I never had a problem my car,okay now it was time for my second oil change so I took it to chef auto repair services.Once I left their shop I was headed to baton rouge with my daughter and boyfriend.As reached Gonzales my car began to slow down and shake while in a fast lane so I pulled over got out and popped the hood of my car.My boyfriend notice all the fluid had leaked and the radiator tube was not connected also he had put the wrong fluid into the radiator.I contacted the manger maliek while I was on side the road and asked him "what did u do to my car because all they fluid has leaked out" his response was "well what color is the fluid and sounds like something is wrong with your radiator".I was stuck in baton rouge until the next day and had to get Ronald's towing & automotive to come from new Orleans to baton rouge to tow it back to my home in new Orleans for the price of $350.00.when I got home I contacted the maliek once again and ask him to send someone fix my car and I needed to be reimbursed because not only fluid was leaking from my car and my car was running hot but fluid was also coming from my tail pipe.When he arrived I was not there because I had to ride the bus to go speak with a lady about an apartment so she can work with me since I had to give up half the money for towing my car back home but my boyfriend was there to see what he can do.once I left the apartments I called my boyfriend to check on what the man did for my car he said the man had already left he was there for at least five minutes and basically told him my car had to be like that when I brought it in.So I called and spoke with maliek and asked for the owners number and he said he can not give that out,so I said well can you please have her contact me asap because without my car I cant get around like I need to and I have a dead line to move and I cant cause my car isn't repaired yet. I've been waiting for a week and a half and she still hasn't contact me yet.Desired Settlement: I would like them to repair my car and reimburse me because I've worked so hard for this car and put over $3,000 into it, I go from having a perfectly running car and then take it for its second oil change then it just go down hill when I leave their business, that's crazy right? I want nothing more nothing less but an repair and reimbursed. HELP ME PLEASE!
Review: Chef Auto Repair Services', Manager [redacted], said that their business does not return old parts to the automobile owner, nor deduct the cost for returned part from the total amount charged for repairs and labor. In my case it was the replacement of an faulty alternator. After checking with Auto Zone, Pep Boy's and Good Years auto service centers, they all state that they either give you the core cost for rerunning the part or deducting the the amount for the old part from the total.Desired Settlement: Either returning the old alternator and the receipt from their place of purchase or the amount in cash that was given to him for the old alternator.
