There was some other problems with where the roof tied into the home and I did some additional work to try and make sure there was no further... leakage causing water spots on the ceiling or around an older skylight that is part of the roof. I have worked with the ***'s for about 10 years on several occasions so when I found out about Mr. ***'s passing and the fact that Robert my brother that handled this project should have done a better job about his follow up and keeping Mrs. [redacted] informed, I have agreed to have the ceiling painted where the spots are. Mr. [redacted] was always a great customer and easy to work with. Any company couldn't ask for a better customer. I regret that Mrs. [redacted] lost her husband and was put in a position where she felt the need to file a complaint and I will do whatever is needed to make this right for her.

I went by to check the roofAll shingles were installed correctlyThere was a small area that had a little dry-rot that was from the roof we replacedIt was hidden from sight when the roofers replaced the roof by a thick layer of tar coating
that was put there when the home was builtI'm not sure why this layer of tar was there, it was the first time ever seeing this on a shingle roofThis small place was only able to be seen by looking up through the soffitI wasn't sure why it wasn't detected until I went to replace the wood and found the reason it couldn't be seen when we installed the new roof
