Absolutely terrible experience. I received a gift card from a friend, and the coupon code didn't work. I spoke to Chef's Plate 3 times and every customer service person told me something different. Huge waste of time. They finally told me they would send a refund (3-5 days), it's been 7 days and they're still "processing" it. This gift was supposed to save me time as I have a newborn at home, but it has been a huge pain in the butt.

I signed up to Chef's Plate as new customer using a discount for my first four boxes. I was double charged for the second week by accident and was told they would refund the second charge and as an apology only charge me 1/2 price for the third week box. They then deducted another $30 from my bank account. I received an email confirming the refund but it was never deposited into my account. I waited for over two weeks but no refund. They then took another $80 out of my account. I cancelled the service as a whole and asked for my money back for both the first and second refund. After speaking to multiple service agents, I was told they would escalate my issue to accounting and I would hear back in a couple of days. I never heard anything--- my case was never addressed nor my money refunded. I have sent multiple emails and no one has responded.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund and additional credits to my account for all the time I have wasted chasing after money that was wrongfully taken from my account.

Thank you for the email. I'm very sorry about the delayed response.

I can confirm the customer was refunded the full amount for their last 2 created orders on the account. Mon Mar 2nd, 2020 delivery and the Mon Feb 24th from the customer's account were fully refunded in February.

It was a huge hassle to get the refund but at the end of the day, I did. I would have like a credit or some kind of acknowledgement for the massive waste of my time but they declined.

I had a friend send me a free week ($75 free) since she was liking it and I liked it enough to continue. I have found the site easy to use and I like the fact that I can skip weeks when I will not have time to cook. I would like to see more vegetarian dishes but can usually find 3 meals I would like to try. The delivery times vary but they have always come on Monday as promised. We got some bad potatoes once and a BBQ sauce container exploded but other than that we have had no issues with the ingredients.

I purchased a gift card online as a Christmas gift. After submitting my payment information, I received no email notification of the purchase. Nor was I sent to a page notifying me that my payment went through. I made the mistake of going back to the main page to try the purchase again. The same thing happened. At this point, I realized that something must have gone wrong on Chef's Plate's end.
I called Chef's Plate customer service immediately to try to have this sorted out. I was told that refunds are usually not provided, but that a notice would be sent to management. I received no update from Chef's Plate as to the status of the notice with management. I had to follow up with the company and was told that this had been reviewed and unfortunately it is against their policy to give refunds.

I purchased a gift card accidentally as I was redirected when attempting to buy a fresh prep gift card. I contacted them 2 minutes after purchase and was told that they would refund the gift card no problem and asked for personal information along with the gift card number. I submitted this and then was told that they could not refund it as it was all of the sudden against their policy. I reminded them of our previous email and they asked for more personal information but still would not refund the gift card. This company is untrustworthy and gives contradictory information.

Auto-ship order was created by the company and then cancelled by me on August 7th. Company claims they issued a refund of $78. *** has verified the money was not refunded. Despite a number of emails and phone calls, company refusing to refund the money. Very poor customer service by *** who responded ***. Emails have been saved. Customer Service reps ***, ***, and *** were spoken to. None acknowledged any wrong-doing or error on company's behalf.

Desired Outcome

Full refund Complete and sincere apologies from management and each customer service rep for their unacceptable and lack of customer care.

Hi ***,

Thank you for talking to me last week and I do very much apologize for the confusion on this issue. After we talked over the phone I realized where the issue was. On August 7th you definitely cancelled the automatically generated order that was $78 and a refund was processed automatically by our system. As the order was cancelled within 24 hours of when it was initially generated, the pending charge reversed entirely and was removed from your statement.

A couple of minutes after you cancelled the automatically generated order 2 manual orders were placed from your account, one for delivery August 14th in the amount of $49.80 and one for delivery on August 28th for $78. As our order system charges your credit card when the order is placed, 2 charges would have appeared on your account matching those two orders, one for $49.80 and one for $78.

When we spoke over the phone you did confirm with me that you were only seeing a single charge for $78 from August 7th, which would be for the delivery on August 28th. As you requested over the phone, I have cancelled that order for you which has automatically processed the refund for that remaining $78.

I am very sorry about this issue. My agents should have noticed that your August 28th order was placed on August 7th and clarified the information with you initially. I will be going ahead and coaching the involved agents so that we can avoid this sort of confusion going forward and make sure that the team looks at the whole situation.

As I mentioned before, we have now processed the refund for that remaining $78 charge and so you will see a refund back to your method of payment. Once again I am very sorry for this whole situation and I'll make sure that my team is better prepared to deal with this type of refund inquiry going forward.

Thank you for putting the money back into my account. It's unfortunate that it took an investigation by the bank and a complaint to the Revdex.com for Chef's Plate to refund the money. I'm still waiting for the formal apology from your customer service staff, mainly ***, who gave me the run-around and was *** in her emailed response to me. For all three of them to continually tell me "there's nothing we can do" when being asked about a billing issue is unacceptable. My issue should have been taken seriously the very first time I emailed the company. This has been by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

today they supposed to deliver mine but never deliverd I called ask for refunds since it is still pending transaction It is easy and fast get my money but they won't keep saying it was deliverd and need to find out and it takes 5-10 days to have my money back I was mad I told them I m going to dispute this charge thru my credit card they 've said Do what you like ! I've never experienced such rude remarks from a company never tried to find any solution giving me just a excuse to not return the money. and their website has no cancel subscibtion or remove card option if you order this company food was okay but some chicken came with one piece but cut in half serving for two portion is sometimes small specially meat parts Be prepare to deal with hassle with customer service I m not the only who is complain about this.I want my money back for not delivering the promises and food.
