Chelsea Mini Storage

Review: My Invoice from Chelsea Mini Storage is sent out every month usually on the [redacted] of the month. This October [redacted] I requested a shelving unit and they agreed at $5 per month. The unit was delivered to my floor right beside my storage room the morning of October [redacted]. They sent me my Invoice dated the October [redacted] with the normal charge of $99 a month. The additional charge of $5 for shelving is not included. I am not disputing the verbal agreement of the $5.

My bill due date clearly states the [redacted] of every month. This has been made clear to me more than once, if I have ever paid bill late (which I'm pretty sure haven't) the date may have fallen on the [redacted] of that month.

I receive assistance from HRA to pay my bill. I turned in the Invoice on Monday October [redacted] to the HRA office and picked up check on October [redacted]. Chelsea Mini Storage had more than seven business days to send me an updated invoice. As of yesterday October [redacted] I have not received an updated Invoice from Chelsea yet they demanded an additional $5.

In addition I was given receipt of payment from Chelsea with payment check amount of $99, rent received $91 and balance due of $5,Check # [redacted] from HRA to Chelsea Mini Storage for unit [redacted].Desired Settlement: Clearly state when $5 charge starts. Because they have continually shown unprofessionalism based on onsite manager's behavior and ill mannered attitude. He himself was there calling the shots at the moment of payment.

The Invoice itself doesn't give a breakdown of when month starts, only on the receipt does it state for services from October [redacted] to November [redacted]. So the way it is set up, they could give any reasoning they want which they did when I made the payment. I want to make sure they don't saddle me with unwarranted interest payments on a lousy $5 or worse $10 with their ridiculous and archaic Invoicing system.

[redacted] initially inquired about renting a shelving unit on October **, 2013. She was informed by myself the charge would be $5 per month which would be added to her monthly rent. [redacted] monthly rent was the to be increased from $99 I month to $104 / monfu which she agreed to. I infonned [redacted] that as she was already paid to 10/**/13 at this date, the increase would start effective 10/**/13 which meant that she would have 2 weeks use of a shelving unit at no charge.

[redacted] came back into the facility on 10/**/13 to accept the shelving unit and did not ask for an updated invoice. The statement for the period from 10/**/13 to 11/**/13 had already been mailed to [redacted] on 10/**/13 which was prior to [redacted] accepting the shelving unit

At no time were any of my representatives or myself unprofessional towards [redacted] who is in fact treated with the utmost respect and courtesy each time she visits the facility.

So to reiterate, the monthly rent for the storage room which is currently rented by [redacted] was increased from $99 / month to $104 / month effective 10/**/13.

There was no discussion about invoice only cost and when shelving unit would be delivered to my unit floor. Unit ordered on the [redacted] and delivered on the [redacted] of October. As far as treating me with the utmost respect. I had to make a complaint about an elevator operator by the name of [redacted]. I want go into too many details but he, [redacted] took the complaint so seriously that he complained to some construction workers.
