As we stated in our first responseWhether the head gasket was blown or not, the charges would have been the sameTherefore we can find no reason for any refund. However after you left the first time and called back to say your car was still overheating you stated that it had overheated twiceSo you did not just drive it home, and our response was that continuing to drive the vehicle with it overheating can damage the head gaskets and or heads. Head gaskets blow due to overheating and your overheating was caused by the $worth of repairs that you needed. So we stand by our first response. Thank you.Chelsie's Automotive

We did not start out giving Mr*** optionsWe only gave him oneThe quote was for $which he refused by saying he was not going to put that much money into that vehicle, because he was going to sell itSo we told him if he was going to try and drive the vehicle then we would at
least recommend the radiator cap that had fallen apart and the coolant tempsensor that controls the fan operation that had tested badWe also told him and put on the invoice that there was no warranty or guarantee , because the radiator was leaking and it needed the other repairs to keep it from leaking and overheating. He continued to drive the vehicle this way with it overheatingThen he called back to say it was still overheating, and we of course said that we thought it would because he did not want to repair the vehicle properly. He brought the vehicle back and we then found he had blown the head gasketThat would cost another $2000-$on top of the other repairs that he had previously declinedHe then stated that he thought the head gasket was blown before he brought the car to us the first time and that we should have diagnosed it correctlyWe did not detect a head gasket issue when we checked the vehicle when it first came inWe did find that it had been blown after he continued to drive the vehicleEven if the head gasket had been blown at the point when he first came inWe would have recommended $4000+ worth of repairs which he still would have declined and we still would have recommended the two items that he did get if he was still going to try and drive the vehicleSo the outcome still would have been the same. In conclusion we can not find that we did anything wrong and did not in anyway try to mislead MrChangWe diagnosed his issues and he refused to repair all of themTherefore we can see no reason for any refund. Thank you.Chelsie's Automotive

I am rejecting this response because:
Chelsie's Automotive keeps saying that its technicians did not detect the "blown head gasket" of my car on 6/28/This is hard to believe because (1) I called Chelsie's Automotive after I drove my car home (about miles from Chelsie's Automotive) and found my car is still overheatingThe front desk person told me that it is caused by blown head gasket; (2) I drove my car from my home to Chelsie's Automotive on 6/29/2016, and the owner took about minutes to find out that my car has the blown head gasketSince it does not make sense for me to spend $to fix the blown head gasket, and more that $to replace my radiator, I drove my car home.In addition to the above reasons, I documented how I used my car since 6/7/2016:(a) 6/6/2016, my car passed inspection.(b) 6/7/2016, I drove my car to the Tax office on Airport Blvd (about miles round trip) to get the registration for my car.(c) 6/8/2016, I drove my car to the Post Office on Jollyville (about miles round trip) to mail a letter.(d) 6/13/2016, I drove my car to Bank of America on Research Blvd (about miles round trip) to deposit.(e) 6/20/2016, I drove my car to Seton Hospital on 38th Street (about miles round trip), stopped at Burger King on 38th Street and Bank of America on Research BlvdWhen I got home, I got steaming coolant of my car, and the sign was on, indicating a serious problem of my carI found that the cap of the overflow coolant container was openThe manual says that when the sign of my car is on, it indicates that I have open caps or some serious problemI assume the former and tried to drove my car times to turn off the sign.(f) 6/22/2016, I drove to the Post Office on Jollyville (about miles)On the way back home, my car climbed the Mountain and got steaming coolantSo I pulled my car to the side of the road, and let the engine cooled down.I drove my car to Chelsie's Automotive on 6/28/It is clear that my car is overheating caused by the blown head gasketWhy the technicians keep saying that they did not detect it?

I am rejecting this response because: Chelsie's Automotive has misled me(1) On 6/28/2016, after the diagnosis, the front desk person told me that I need to replace coolant tempsensor, and radiator capHe told me that the coolant temp sensor pretends high temp to be low tempActually, he could told me more directly that it controls the cooling fanHowever, my cooling fan is running(2) When they replace my radiator cap, they did not need to break the upper hose part (connecting the overflow container to the radiator) of my radiatorIt was not leaking before they changed the radiator cap(3) They keep saying that I need to replace my radiator, which will cost me more than $1100, and will not solve the overheating problem of my car.I hope Revdex.com can step in because Chelsie's Automotive and I are not going to resolve this complaint
